My husband and I are thinking about replacing our tile flooring, tile countertops/backsplash, and doing some painting but want to get some estimates first. We would like to just deal with one person/company to save time and money. Any suggestions would be great. We live in Keller.

The majority of the time a person will have a 'specialty'. My dad was a do-it-all contractor for my entire life (he's retired now.) I can honestly say that I notice a difference in quality work between two types of projects. He could build excellent, but when he layed tile...it wasn't as good as I would want.
There is a guy mentioned somewhere on a mamasource post under the home maintanence/improvements section posted over a year ago. The guy's name is Armando Contreras. I used him 2 times for tiling floors and my master shower...he did a GREAT job. If you cannot find the posting you can email me, and I can look it up, as it is in my large stack of papers that I can't quite figure out what to do with, lol! There are a bunch of tile stores along 121 heading South toward the Fort Worth Zoo. Find what you like and the contractor can get you a discount. I would trust this guy with all your tiling needs, but he doesn't do anything but tile; it's his 'specialty'.
Southern Painting is a place you could call for a painting estimate. They are usually less expensive than other painting companies. However, you could probably hire an individual for less...As long as the cover and tape things off there's not a whole lot of thought that has to go into the painting (other than sweat and tears.)

He's great and he's very honest and reliable. He's helped a lot of mamas on here with that kind of stuff. He'll come and give a free estimate of what you're wanting and be fair. I've never known him to overcharge anyone for any reason. His work reflects him so he does it the way he would want it for his house.
