Looking for School Uniform Pants for My 'Husky' Boy

I am having a dickens of a time finding school uniform pants for my son. I have tried 8H from TCP and Cherokee but both are too tight. Anyone have any suggestions? I am going to try walmart next, but I only have a week now and I'm freaking out a bit. I'm open to ordering online but I am not open to hemming the pants or letting them out myself as I am a domestic misfit! Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

What can I do next?

I just answered a question about slim pants and the answer is the same for husky....lands end. They are a bit more expensive, but the quality is very good.

Go to a uniform store. I had no trouble getting my sons fitted for uniforms growing up.

If you have tried 8 Husky already and they are too tight..........you more than likely need to go up a size to a 10 :( and hem the pants (or take them somewhere to hem..I know here it's only a couple bucks at some places). Boo

Hi H.-

I just checked online at Children's Place and they have beige and navy husky ones in 8H and higher. Here's the link: (Scroll down to the bottom for the uniform pants.)

I was at Carson Piere Scott tonight and notice a school uniform section. I think they have husky. And.... Old Navy has husky. Maybe JcPenny's does too. I had to get my son pants recently and I think I saw husky as a choice in Walmart and Target. (The ones I bought look like they would "work" for a school uniform.
Good luck!

This is teh first year for buying Husky for my son and I got all his pants at JcPenney. They have a sale going on and I would definitely check out the prices online and compare to the store. You can have him try the clothes at the store to see what brand fits better. I bought my daughters' uniform tops (polos) online for half the price at the store so worth comparing. If looking for a way to save more, you can also buy one thing at the store, answer the survey for the 15% off coupon and then use the coupon online.

Penney's has the school uniform clothes for kids. Since sizes vary by store and brand I would call or go into a store to try on what have available. You may need to order from the online store, when I worked there if the item was unavailable in the store but on sale in the store ( ie: they have it in the wrong color in the store correct color online) you get the store sale price, online, and free shipping to the store.

And you are not a domestic misfit. I can sew but I hate to mend or alter anything. Not everyone can do everything. We all have our talents.

Our school uses Educational Outfitters for our uniforms. They will have a huge supply of uniform pants in tons of sizes. They recently moved away from Naperville (rt 59) which is a shame. Now they are in Joliet somewhere. But, if you google them, you can get the address. They will be able to help you without a doubt.

Look online at other stores old navy, gap, target, etc check the sizing charts and measure your son.

You might have to order a 10H and take them to get hemmed (it's really not that hard to do)
