Looking for Reasonable, Reliable Contractor W/ Integrity

We have used Wilco Construction (Keith Wilson) for several projects ###-###-####). He isn't the cheapest guy out there, but also not the most expensive. What he is is the most reliable. He and his crew are there when they say they're coming, the job takes exactly how long they say it will take and they clean up after themselves. Those things go a LONG way in my book! I would use Jeff Cascella Construction. He is a guy that I have used and he is currently doing estimates for both bath and kitchen. He is very honest and reliable. His number is ###-###-####. I have tried others and he is the only one that does what he says and gives you an estimate up front for the work to be done. He is based out of Northlake but does work in the city. Great guy- give him a call- you can tell him that A. K. referred him. He does most of his business through referrals of past work that he has done.

I just had a terrible experience with a contractor six months ago and wanted to warn you of my experience so it doesn't happen to you. When you hire a contractor, get everything in writing and make sure the contractor gives you information on your rights as a customer. Also, you MUST get a signed waiver of lien before the job begins. I did not and my contractor not only walked away with my money but did not pay the subcontractor with it. Months after the job was completed, the subcontractor threatened to put a lien on my home unless the bill was paid. I ended up paying four times the amount of the subcontractor bill. If you would like a copy of the waiver of lien, I am more than happy to e-mail it to you.
