We are likely moving to Mansfield, and I need suggestions for great preschools in the area for my 3 yr old. Someone said Walnut Creek is good, but I have not visited yet.

also, we are looking at homes in the Willie Brown and Boren boundaries. Does anyone have any thoughts on wither of these schools?

thanks in advance!!!

What can I do next?

Both of my sons went to Walnut Creek Private School. One went for 2 years of pre-K and also for Kindergarten, and I believe it gave him an amazing academic foundation. I know that may sound crazy for such a young age, but he learned so much there, and it was fun. He's going into 8th grade now, in all pre-AP classes making all As, and I really think some of that is because of his early learning at Walnut Creek. Our youngest went there for one year of pre-K only, and also had a wonderful experience. I wish we had kept him there longer. He went to public kindergarten, and the experience was not nearly as beneficial. One thing about Walnut Creek that really impresses me is that the same teachers that were there when my oldest was there 10 years ago are still there today. They have very little turnover.

Both boys went to Willie Brown Elementary, as well. It is an excellent school. The teachers are wonderful for the most part. I am an AP English teacher, and I can be quite critical of teachers, but I am incredibly appreciative of quality teaching, also. I loved all but one of the teachers my children have had at Willie Brown. I have heard good things about Boren, too.

My oldest has gone to Mary Orr and Worely and had excellent experiences there, too.

Good luck with your decision, and welcome to Mansfield!

My son went to St. John's preschool as well and we absolutely loved it - and so did he! The staff is great and he is very well prepared for kindergarten next year.

My daughter attends St. John Preschool on Debbie Ln near Matlock and we are very happy there! I think almost any preschool in Mansfield would be good... everyone I know is happy where they are. St. Greg's, Walnut Ridge, First Methodist. Mansfield is really nice and you will like it here! :-)

My daughter was at Cora Spencer Elem. this past year (on the east side of Mansfield) and we loved all of the kindergarten teachers there. I also know a few of the other teachers and they are all awesome. As for pre-schools, Primrose is awesome. Our kids have gone to the one in west Grand Prairie (Grand Peninsula) but there is one close to the area you are talking about called Walnut Creek Primrose. They are both owned and run by the same person. You really can't go wrong with any of the elementary schools in Mansfield. Good Luck!
