Im looking for playgroups or music or art class for my 16 month old toddler. we are in need of getting with other childern.( we are willing to drive within a half hour to go play)
Hi.. I take my 21 month old daughter to Gymboree class. I live in Allen Park, so I go to the one in Riverview, but I work in Wayne. I know there is one in Canton. You can do a search and learn about it at www.gymboree.com then click the "play and music" link on the top right and you can search for closest and find times, etc. Hope it works for ya, A.

I'm a stay at home mom too and I know how hard it's getting to be in the house in February!
I would recommend Gymboree. My 6 month old loves it there and I enjoy meeting other moms who have kids my daughter's age. The classes are seperated by age so it is basically play that is age appropriate.
Also, you may want to look into libraries and/or bookstores (like Barnes & Noble or Borders) for story time. That is an excellend and free way to meet other moms.

Check out Co-operative preschools (CO-Ops) in your area. They are generally inexpensive and great for kids. They learn skills like playing with others in a class room environment, eating with other toddlers (trying new foods), listening to stories, learning to count , learning how to spell and write their name...etc We belong to McKinley CO-OP in Westland. My 4 yr old goes 4 times a week and my 2 yr old goes once a week (3 year old meet 3 times a week)
