There is a nice playground on 11th and Lombard that has a small area designated for toddlers (and it is fenced in-another bonus). My son likes it there and sometimes I actually get to sit down for a minute!

If you are in Philadelphia, the Smith Playhouse is a great place. It's in Fairmount Park. It's completely free.

Kelly,
My son is 3 and I try to show him a little of everything to see what sparks his interest. If you can stand it, try taking him to a car show so he can see his hot wheels come to life. Even at 1 he loved seeing his big truck come to life. Also get the book called "Big Truck Book", ($5 at Walmart) which breaks down all kinds of everyday vehicles and start now going over them with him. I think now my son knows more about trucks and cars than his Dad. This is just something that my son took a iking to, but if you keep throwing different things at him, he'll show you what he likes. There is a car show this Saturday 5/20 in Morrisville. Good Luck A.

Try the museums. The Please touch Museum is great for his age. The Aquarium In Camden is also a good choice for age group. If he likes dinosaurs the Academy of natural sciences has a great exhibit. The Zoo is always a winner especially now since it's getting warm. Penns Landing is free and he might like to sit and watch the boats go by.

My children love the Phila Zoo. Free for children under 2 and you can get discounted adult tickets thru Acme.

Smith Memorial playground off of Kelly Drive. It's free, you can give a little donation which is nice to do. Big old mansion w/ lots of toys and playrooms for the kids. Google it for info and directions. Good Luck. Nice place to meet other moms.
