Looking for Place/someone to Make Princess Cake

My daughter is turning one at the beginning June and her birthday party is "princess themed". When I say princess theme, I mean all pink, tiaras and castles. I have checked with both Albertsons and Wal-Mart and they offer a plain cake with little decorations and a tiara cake topper. They also offer the Disney Princess cakes, but the theme is not Disney. I guess I am looking for someone to make a more detailed cake in the shape of a castle or crown. I have found a kit to make a castle cake or even cake pans. I myself, am not a baker and want it to be perfect. I want the cake to look perfect and taste delicious. I live close to the Keller area, but no distance is too far when it comes to my angel!!

What can I do next?

My cousin uses this lady for all of her cakes. She had an amazing anniversary party cake and a speed racer cake for her son's birthday party.

Here is the information:

I have used Texas Star Bakery in the past and they have been very good. I recently tried Opulent Cakes in Colleyville - www.opulentcakes.com - for my father's and mother's birthday. They did an amazing job and the cake was delicious. The staff were very creative and had many different choices to consider. Good luck.

I would contact a local bakery that does wedding cakes. They usually do cakes for other occasions. You may also want to contact Hobby Lobby and ask for the number to the cake decorating class...Not to take the class, but to ask the instructor if she could make the cake or could recommend someone who could make the cake. Hope that helps!

Try Texas Star Bakery in Hurst. It is at the corner of Harwood Rd and Hurstview in a small shopping center. The cakes there are awesome! There is also a place on Bedford Euless Rd. called Creative Memories that does unique cakes.

I did a princess theme for my daughter's first birthday... she is now 2 1/2. For her little cake that she tore into I had a tiara sitting on a pillow. I will email you pics of you like. I have a very talented chef that does wonderful cakes. I have another little princess that is turning 1 on at the end of August and I sketched out the very eleborate 4 tier cake that I want for her party and he said "no problem" He is amazing. Send me your email and I will get you his info. I'm in Keller as well so he is in close proximity to you.

I have used Creative Memories, Inc. in Hurst for a few baby showers and have been VERY pleased with them. You may want to chack and see if they can do trademark characters, but they are very easy to work with and very professional...plus their cakes are so yummy. Their website is: yourcakeplace.com. I will be using them soon for my son's cake when he turns 2 next month. Good luck!

I went to Albertson's in Keller and purchased a Castle Cake (Disney Princess Cake) It was the last one they had.

http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/novelties/princess/4688...

You may want to check with other Albertson's stores they are the only one who make that model...they are going fast because it is a discontinued model.

I also found a do it your self kit at Michaels that looks like a castle if you want to go that route.

This lady located in Arlington makes cakes:

For my DD 1st birthday last year I bought a Castle Cake pan and did it myself...took me 5 hours to do it! It was a lot of work pushing out those stars but it looked great!!! This year I am buying a cake until she can appiciate all the work that goes into making a cake :-)

Good luck

I would check Kroger. Last week my daughter picked out their princess cake. It is shaped like a castle with little princess figures and what looked to be a small picture frame too! It was a really nice looking cake!

Sweet Memories in Keller is the absolute BEST. They use REAL buttercream frosting (rather than all the fondant that lots of places use). You have your choice of cake flavors and of fillings for between the layers. Their number is ###-###-####. Their website is www.sweetmemoriescakes.com. The owner is Susan Clark and she is terrific. Please check out the cakes on the website to give you an idea of her creativity and then give her a call (tell her S. referred you. You'll be glad you did.

My mother does cakes professionally, she's in Grapevine. She did a princess castle cake for my daughter's 3rd bday we bought little Disney Princess figurines and a Cinderella Carriage to go around it. It was massive but came out beuatiful. I can gurantee her prices will be cheaper then any actual bakery and the larger the cake the more flavors you can pick. Her name is Donna and # is ###-###-####...I'd call her as soon as possible to order if she isn't already booked :)

HEB grocery stores in San Antonio have princess cakes, A Barbie stands in the middle with her poofy dress being the cake- that doesn't do you any good here- but I'd try Central Market, since they are owned by HEB. Good Luck!

Hi,
There is a great little bakery in Roanoke called Mugs Bakery. They are very reasonably priced and if you send her a picture she can duplicate whatever you want.

Try Texas Star Bakery in Hurst off of Precinct Line and Harwood. They made a Chicago Bears cake for my husband's b-day.
