Hey Moms I am looking for a little help. A family member is looking for a place to get married on a little short notice. (last weekend of Nov). They would like to do the ceromony outdoors possibly near a lake at sunset.(Prefferably in the valley) They would like a little privacy so a public park is out. Any ammenities at the location would be great to know too. Thanks for the help Moms!!!!!

What can I do next?

Try Val Vista lakes on Val Vista and Baseline in Mesa/ Gilbert. We looked there when my daughter was getting married and it sounds like something you're looking for. Good luck!

Two places that I can think of, that have not been mentioned, would be The Barn at Power Ranch. There is a nice lake in the front of it. I do not know if you have to live there to use it... The second venue is The Antique Wedding House. They are an excellent venue that supplies just about everything- but they do not have lake. Hope that helps! www.antiqueweddinghouse.com Good Luck!

I am a photographer and I have been doing portraits for a couple of years. I would like to some weddings. I have done 1 wedding so far. If they are interested in hiring me, I would not charge very much since I haven't done many weddings. I am very creative and unobtrusive and I will take lots of photographs. Please let me know. As far as locations, try The Farm at South Mountain. It is very pretty, not sure about the lake though and it is private not a public park. Fountain Hills has a public park with beautiful large trees and a huge lake, and of course the largest fountain.

Hi A., I friend of mine is getting married at Usery Mountain Park in Mesa. It's very pretty there. I believe it is free, you just need to reserve an area. You would have to pay for each vehicle, which is $5.00. I think it is worth checking out because it is so pretty out there.
Just a suggestion. Good luck, K.

Hi A.:

Go to www.arizonaweddings.com and register right away. This is an excellent resource for venues, photographers, florists,
absolutely everything.

Our daughter is getting married in December and we too, had only 11 weeks to plan...she is marrying a Marine, who found out only 2 weeks ago that he will have 13 days leave at the end of December before being deployed for 6 months. So we had to really scramble. Luckily everything is working out real well. We had to have the wedding on a Sunday, because everywhere is booked on Fridays and Saturdays (sometimes a year in advance)...anyway, good luck, you'll find the website very helpful.

My niece was married at Fountain Hills with the fountain in the background a few years ago. I don't know if she had to get permission or pay anything, but thought I would let you know.

I work at Seville Golf & Country club near Higley & Riggs. It is a beautiful location with many photo opps. There is a wonderful mountain in the backdrop with a lake around the golf course. There is also a reception facility. Just go to Seville G & C club on the web for info. Good luck!

we are getting married at Eagle Mtn. Golf course in Foutain Hills. they have a gorgous lawn for the ceremony that over looks the entire valley and huge trees that create a natural arch to get married under. Right next to the ceremony lawn they have an awesome reception room that is made of huge windows that open to get that outside feeling, along with a great patio area for cocktail hour. They will cater the wedding and have great prices per person for food and bar packages! Please let me know if she ends up doing it there, as my fiance and i are not getting married until next Nov. Also, there is a really great Inn at the bottom of the hill called the Inn at Eagle Mtn. This is a really cute and fun place for people to stay, and they have a fantastic honeymoon suite!
