Hello
I am new in Franklin and I am trying to meet some other moms with their children. I am from Switzerland and we are staying in Franklin until May because of my husband's business-trip. In this time I would love to meet mothers with their toddlers or children. Our son is one year old. Are there activities or other things me and my son could join? It's too boring to be at home all day alone...
A bit of a problem is, that I do not have a car every day... but maybe it will work out anyway.
Thanks for your answer.
B.

B., there are so many mothers on here, from all over the country - very few would be from your area. i would check the local library or parks and recreation department to find programs for kids, where you will of course meet parents as well. also if you are interested in finding a church to go to while you are in the area that is a good place to meet parents and kids. good luck!

Check the library. They usually have story hour and other kids programs plus a bulletin board with community information like local parenting groups. Often the local YMCA had Mommy and Me and other classes for toddlers and preschoolers.

Check out the different newspapers in your area. Also the free brochures
when you enter or leave stores usually have magazines for mom's activities w/kids, try library programs, church or synagogue groups.
Good luck....it's no fun to be lonely.
