Looking for New Pediatrition Through St. Johns in Springfield

I just found out I am pregnant and I had my last child at Cox and LOVED my doctor. My husband is possibly switching jobs and this means switching from Cox to St. Johns. I am not familiar with any pediatritions through St. Johns or OB/GYNs for that matter. Although, I have gotten a couple different referrals to Dr. Frank Williams over there. I think I'll check him out. If anyone has any referrals I would really appreciate it. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything (good or bad) about Dr. Gerald F. Joseph, Jr.? I would appreciate the input.

What can I do next?

I always greatly recommend Dr. John Burson as a pediatrician. He is fantastic. I actually had tears when I found out that switching to my husband's insurance meant switching from St. John's to Cox - just because Dr. Burson was so great to us.

I'm curious which ped at Cox you liked so much. We have been to a few now, and I'm not crazy about any of them.

On the OB/GYN side, Dr. Lehnert is supposed to be great, but I don't know how much luck you'll have getting in. I think he's been very busy since taking over some of his ex-partner's OB patients when they all decided to switch to just GYN.

Good luck!

I don't personally know of any OB/GYN's through St. John's, but my kids have been seeing Dr. Sammon with Healthtracks Pediatrics (on South Fremont)for the last 7 years. My stepbrother is 31 and Dr. Sammon was also his pediatrician growing up. Dr. Spinelli, who is also there, is a great doctor also. They do take new patients and most all insurances. Congratulations and good luck with your new baby!

We went to Dr. Sammon for a few years, but he wasn't "kid-friendly" enough. Plus, he's retiring soon. We live in Ozark, but go to Nixa for our new ped, Dr. Temofeew. (I can never remember how to spell his name; my boys just call him Dr. T.)We love him!! 724-KIDS is the number for them.

Hello...I just wanted to give you some advice on a ped. with St. Johns! I have been employed with St. Johns for 3 years now and I am lucky enough to work with all of our peds. on a daily basis!! I work in the Newborn Nursery/NICU!! My children see Dr. Moore and I think that she is amazing!! She is very careful when seeing your children and catches alot of stuff that other doctors miss!! I also really like and respect Dr. Freeman (female), Dr. Stover (female), Dr. Burson (male...he might not be accepting new patients!) also Dr. Fusco (female)I really trust and respect all of our peds at St. Johns! If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
About an OB..I have seen Dr. Ting with all of my children but he is no longer in network with St. Johns! Unfortunatly Dr. Lehnert is no longer accepting ANY patients and even when I called to get in to see him..It was going to be in March! I have heard alot of people that see him say things like.."Well, I dont feel like he ever has time to really get to know me..." I want an OB that will get to know me because having a baby is a big deal!! I really like the way that Dr. Litherland is with her patients. When I work in the NICU I attend alot of the deliveries. I also like Dr. Williams, and Dr. Burk!!
