I am new to these boards but do read them a lot whenever I have a question about my soon to be one year old. We just found out we are expecting no 2 (3 postive hpts) and we need a new obgyn. I have heard good things about walnut lake obgyn but got a little bit of an attitude from the receptionist when calling to re-schedule twice (within 15 min) due to my husband's busy schedule. I understand if people have an off day--but wondered if anyone had some good suggestions for obgyns in the farmingon/novi/west bloomfield area or if you have had good experiences with walnut lake obgyn?

hi everyone! thanks so much for the suggestions. I did call Metro and they don't take our insurance:( I will just keep looking! Oh and my OB before was Modern OBGYN. I so wish they took my new insurance. They were the best!!!
hi! I love my obgyn. Her name is Dr. Laura Gruskin and she is in Farmington Hills. The website is www.westoaklandobgyn.com. The only downside is that she is in a practice by herself, so there is a chance she won't deliver your baby. She is in a network of other doctors that have the same philosophies as her. She actually didn't deliver our baby, but I was extremely happy with the doctor that did, and the one that discharged me. Good luck!

I have gone to Metro Partners in Women's Health in Novi, for all 4 of my pregnancies. I primarily see Dr. Lacoste, but several other docs have delivered my boys too --- all of the docs in the practice are wonderful. They also have midwives on staff. They deliver at Providence Novi & Southfield (their office is located at Grand River and Beck Rds).

I know this isn't the area that you requested, but maybe this will help. I live in a Westland, but Farmington is close to the mixing bowl (I-696/I-275)--it's all highway, so it's fast driving. I really like my OB/GYN--Westside OB/GYN in Canton ###-###-####. They deliver out of St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia. The hospital is small and has a new birthing center. Check out their website. I have been seeing Dr. Winslow for many years and she is awesome, so is her staff.

Hey there. I just switched this year to Dr. Lester Voutsos http://whcobgyn.com/doctor7.html I have LOVED him! He works out of Providence Park Novi. He has answered every question I have had silly or not, and his staff has been so wonderful. I have also seen Dr. Kaplan recently. I am pregnant as well and will rotate with the other Dr.s in the office in case I have to deliver with one of them. This way I can say I have met them all at least once. :o)

I really like my place - Modern OB/GYN. They are at 14 Mile and Farmington Road. Very professional and organized - especially when it comes to the pregnancy. They are associated with Beaumont, but can also deliver at the new Henry Ford now. They have a male and female doctor. Number is: ###-###-####
metro partners in womens health!!! i used to work there, so i'm a little partial...lol, but they are fabulous!! there are 5 dr's and i think they may have 3 midwives now, if you're interested in that!!! they are great!!!! dr.lacoste is my favorite!!! they are off of 96 and beck near the providence hospital. ###-###-####, and what i liked about them being right there near the hospital is b/c w/my 2nd baby, i was in and out towards the end of my pregnancy, and i didn't have to drive but around the corner to get to the hospital, and i just had to walk up to the ob floor and they come to your room to get admitted!!! GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!
