Looking for a New OB/GYN in HEB Area

I'm looking for a new OB/GYN in the HEB area. My current doctor is okay but I don't feel like the yearly exams are very thorough. I also don't feel like the nurses are able to answer simple questions without having to ask the doctor and call me back. I'm hoping to find a new female doctor but will be okay with a male doctor. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I saw someone recommended Chantal Spurdon, I go to her partner- Manisha Parikh. I love her and her office staff. I just had my first baby and did a few visits with Spurdon. Their office is right next to the TX Health Resources HEB hospital.

I second Dr. Parikh. I actually see Ted Preston in that same practice and really like him, but he will probably be retiring in the next few years and I will switch to Dr. Parikh if she is still in the practice. I did see her a few times during my preganancy as part of the office rotation and she saw me in the hospital while on rounds. I really liked her. I actually didn't care much for Dr. Spurdon, didn't seem to have a real good bed side manner. Might have been that she scared the you know what out of me when she told me at 7 1/2 months that my baby was already 6 1/2 pounds (luckily she was wrong). I'm pretty small so that didn't sit well with me. But, the practice in general is great and the nurses are really good as well.

I love Dr. Barbara Webster at the Woman's Group. She is great--takes time to listen to your concerns, offers practical advice, really walks you through any procedures you will be facing. Her partners are great too--I'd be happy with any of the four there. Here's their Web site: http://www.thewomansgroup.com/

I am very happy with Dr. Emily Emmett, who is with Dr. Wood. She takes time to listen to me, and is easy to talk to about even difficult subjects.

I LOVE my OB/GYN! Her name is Dr. Beverly Wood and she is across the street from Harris Methodist HEB. The other doctor in her practice (Dr. Emily Emmet) is also great...she is the one that actually performed my c-section when my baby was born last year.
