I dont have a ton of money, but I am looking for some type of program to get my 3 year old little boy involved in on Saturdays. He is potty trained (sometimes this matters) He enjoys all sorts of musical activities and I'd love to get him involved with that or something physical like tumbling. Like I said, I dont have a ton of money, I just would really like to get him involved in an activity. Anything in mind?

What can I do next?

Hey A. !!
I have had a few girlfriends who have contacted the Child Development Offices at Michigan State University... where they do have all sorts of programs to offer children. I believe it is usually run by the child development students. I know they have a Kinder-Music program.

Have you contacted a YMCA closest to you ?? They may have some summer programs.

I hope this helps !!!

I just thought of something you might look into...check out the YMCA. It's right near Holiday Inn South back by Oak Park Apts. They may have some programs and you might qualify for a sholarship. We may try that for daycare for our little guy this summer. In the meantime, your son is more than welcome to play music stuff with his Aunt Becca anytime! wink

Hello A., I have a 3 year old son as well that I want to get involved. If you are near Holt, try this site: https://www.gsinet.org/partners/Holt/default.asp

Here is the "Holt Community Education" number: ###-###-####.
I wanted to get my son into soccer but they started a day we couldn't be there. I did get my daughter into swimming for $36 for 6 weeks, one day a week. It's very good for her. Aqua Tots is for 3 to 5 year olds. I think they have more in a few months. I also signed up my daughter for skating at Edru, I believe it was $22 for her to skate and not me, for 6 weeks. You have to pay double to skate too. I will be trying these things with my son next year. The Holt Community Education office is in the Holt High School on Holt Rd. If you call them, just ask for a list of Enrichment activities or the Ram's Magazine. Good luck! Hope it goes well. ~K.
