I will be delivering at Winnie Palmer Hospital in a few days and my wonderful husband told me to order the legacy suite package. I was wondering if anyone got this package and if it is worth the money. Thank you for your response.

Sorry, I delivered there on 12/28 and had a terrible experience. Two of my friends have delivered there also. I would say save your money. All they do is give you different sheets. Keep the money and get yourself a nice spa package once the baby arrives!

Hi,
I will be delivering at Winnie Palmer as well, and due May 9th. I am an employee at Orlando Regional and have heard from many Nurses, Techs and Doctors how wonderful all the packages are, in particular the Celebration dinner. I say, do it! It doesn't hurt to have some well deserved pampering, besides it will be harder to find time for yourself when your busy caring for the baby. Hope this helps.

I delivered at Winnie palmer last June. I just got a normal room but they are really nice. The bathrooms were big and so were the rooms. If you wantt ot see the difference I would call and scedule a tour so that you can see for your self the difference in rooms. I am not sure what the Luxery suite is or how different it is but I just thought that I would let you know how mnice the regular rooms are. Thanks D.

I delivered at Winnie Palmer in 2006. I'm not sure if it was my doctor or the hospital that I did not like. I was scheduled to be induced at 38 weeks b/c of high blood pressure (which I only had early in my pregnancy). As soon as I got in my room the nurses started 'selling' me on an epidural and/or c-section. I was very adament about NOT having an epidural. My first child was born vaginally with great ease and very limited pain meds.
The first 6 hours I was there I had 5 different RNs. It seemed like once I refused the current RNs advice she would be very busy assisting in another room and another RN would come in my room, make conversation and try to sell me on epidural. They all scoffed at my choice to go with limited meds. I wanted Limited NOT 100%natural, maybe a little stadol. Note: at that point my labor was progressing well and I didn't have any pain. In the middle of the night they played around with my pitocin levels and everything went hay-wire. So much pain!! Long (painful) story short I gave in to the epidural and ended up having a csection minutes before my doctor's shift ended. 22 hours of labor I believe. I've known 3 other people who delivered at WP and 2 had similar stories to mine regarding a forced cs. The 3rd person was scheduled.
The rooms were nicely decorated. Marble in the bathrooms. Nice color scheme. Handy murphy beds for dad to stay the night. Nothing to write home about. I wish I could have had a spa package. It wasn't offered and if United Health Care wasn't paying for it, I didn't really need it. :o)

I have alot of friends working there.I will call the asst.mananger and find out for sure about this package they are offering if you would like. Congratulations and WPH is an excellent hospital!!!
