I am a mother of a two year old boy looking for activities for my son. I have heard about Mother's Day out, is there anything else to consider? I have found some reading activities at the local library and I am considering The little gym.
Thanks for any help.

What can I do next?

hi, G.!

i don't know much about the mother's day out programs offered around town, but i wanted to put my two cents in for gymboree! my little guy (27 months) has been going to gymboree for the last few months and we really love it. i think it is about the same cost as little gym, but with gymboree, you can go as many times during the week as you want. we go 4 times a week and he just loves it. he has really grown in his physical skills as well as in his personality...he used to be the shy one in the corner and now he is more interactive and wants to play with it all! and, just like little gym, the first class is free so you can try it out first!

if i can help in any way, let me know!

p.s. we also go to explora about twice a month and to the zoo or aquarium about twice a month. if your child is active, hoots is an inflatable play place that is a lot of fun. hope this helps!

We LOVE Gymboree! We also love Kidszone through the Rio Rancho Parks and Rec. There are also lots of Moms groups through meetup.com. We also love the aquarium, botanical gardens and zoo. There is also a great pool in Corrales. There are so many things to do here. :) Have a fun summer!

Hi G.,

The mom's day out programs are actually more to give you a chance to run errands without a child in tow. Most of those in ABQ run during the school year and end for the summer. Children of the Good Shepard, located off Tramway north of Academy, does have a mom's day out program. I know someone who's child goes to their preschool and is very happy with it, so I'm sure the MDO is good too. If you are looking for more of playdates, check out the MOPS groups in town. Also, I just started the summer camp with The Little Gym on Montgomery and my daughter is enjoying it. I hope this helps!

We love the little gym and go to the Saturday class at 10am.
There is always storytime-but with my 2 year old boy-it is tough to get him to sit still long enough for storytime.
