Looking for Kid-friendly Dentist in Des Moines Area

We go to Methodist Plaza Dental. It is located right in Methodist Hospital. They have new dentists once in a while (retiring, moving, etc.), but we have had good luck with all of them. My 7-yr-old daughter has been going since she was 2 (even before that with me). She loves the dentist! Everyone at the office loves her. The hygenist lets her follow her around to "help" while I get my appt. done. She also hangs out with the front desk staff too. They love kids in that office! I wouldn't go anywhere else! Good luck in your search. Early dental care is a great thing to start!

I took my 3 year old daughter to Dr. Wade in Clive for her first dental visit a few months ago. He was very nice, as were the hygenists. He made sure the visit was super quick, and even took a picture of her and signed it for her first dental visit :) I would recommend him.

We like "Dr. Matt" of Des Moines Pediatric Dental. Everyone there is very nice, patient with fidgety kids and the office is very kid-friendly. It's on Westtown Parkway in WDM.

I took my son to the peditric dentist behind Panera on Westown Pkwy in WDM and the hygenist and dentist didn't relate well to my 4 year old or me. They were impatient and seemed annoyed by their jobs and our first visit cost us $440. Their waiting room was pretty thou ... The next time I took him to my regular dentist/hygenist. She was amazing with him and the dentist too. You spend 90% of your time with the hygenist. I would recommend Book/Erickson or Erickson/Book? They have childrens books in the waiting room. Ask for Julie C. She is great with adults AND great with kids too.

Hi, Our family goes to Dr. Brad Markowski in Waukee. I have been going to him since highschool and now my whole family goes. I have 4 children- 7, 6, 4, and almost 2. They love it there and are excited to go. The hygenists are GREAT! very good with all the kids. My parents, siblings all go there and my brother who lives in Chicago still makes appointments with him when he comes to visit. We go twice a year and make the apointments all together and they don't mind the kids roaming around and checking everything out and visiting everyone. Anyway, it's a great place and have only had great experiences with the kids there.

I take my kids to Dr Wade's office in Clive, they are terrific!

We go to Dr. Wade in Clive. My twins hate the dentist and have gone from having to be wrapped in a "papoose" to being able to just sit in the chair and have their teeth cleaned. I think he's very good with the children and so are the hygenists.
