I am looking for full time Infant care, I was lucky enough to stay home for my first 2 kids and I just recently had my third, my first boy:) I have been looking into infant care and I dont know if I am just being really picky but all the places I have looked at smell, is it just normal for an infant room to have this humid feel with a smell? And if you can recommend anyplace in the PV area. I am looking for loving people that LIKE to be around babies, doesnt cost an arm and a leg and if possible someplace that doesnt smell :)

If you are literally looking in Paradise Valley I recommend Solel Preschool on McDonald for their infants. It is Jewish preschool, but anyone can attend. The napping/awake areas are seperate. The numbers are kept low and the place is spotless - parents wear booties in the room. Good Luck!

Kindercare facitilies are the best I've found to be clean, plus they have the best playgrounds with grass and fun playground equipment. Problem is, there are none in Pleasant Valley. Perhaps you can find one in Scottsdale (there are three) near your home or possibly in another city nearby. Go on anywho.com and click on the Yellow Pages tab and do a search. And as far as the bad smell in the infant rooms, I found that since you have a room full of infants, you will always have that problem no matter what facility you take your child to. I've also found that the smell factor will not be lessen until about the age of 3, and especially by 4 because by then most, if not all, of the children are using the toilet. Problem with the infant room is that the caregivers are constantly having to change diapers and there's no way getting around that. Good luck.

Hi Serena,
I would REALLY look into home care. I had both of my daughter's in daycare, at one of the best and most expensive daycares with a huge waiting list, and the fact remains that it's still daycare. It's going to smell ;) Because I nursed both of my daughters (on my lunch break, I had an hour and half) I spent a lot of time at the daycare too, and the babies were miserable. Not all of the time, but a lot of the time. I always worked part time so they wouldn't have to be there every day but it still wasn't the best decision. Then I put my youngest with a neighbor who loved her and that was really great. The neighbor didn't charge any more than daycare and my youngest was truly happy to see her when I would drop her off. There's something called Child care resource and referral (not sure if that's the exact name but you can google it) and find licensed home cares in the area. I just quit my job two weeks ago and love staying at home but I understand that's not an option for most people. Good luck and best wishes! K.

I take my son to Tots 2 Ten which is on 7th Street just north of Thunderbird. I would not take him anywhere else!! This facility is amazing! They love my son and give him the attention he needs. The facility is clean and the infant room is great (no smells). These people love the children they take care of!! I can't say enough about Tots 2 Ten. If you are interested, I can get a phone number. I too am picky, but this place is amazing!

check out www.azchildcare.org or I found a lady on craigs list and her name is Tracey, her email is ____@____.com is located at 36th St./Thunderbird. I am looking for part time daycare like one day a week and am really struggling to find that; most people want full timers like yourself. Good luck.
