Looking for Inexpensive Children's Clothing Stores

I am looking for a place to buy nice, but inexpensive toddler boy's clothing. I would like to find a consignment boutique that is reliable or even a Goodwill that has a decent selection. I live in Broadripple and shop often in Nora and Castleton. I have been to Once Upon a Child, but find that the prices are almost as high as going to Target or Wal-mart.

What can I do next?

Believe it or not the best prices for quality childrens clothing that I have found are Kohl's, Walmart and Target. Check them out!

Actually, I have found that Kohls is cheaper than Target(overpriced) and Walmart. There is a cosignment shop in Broadripple called Casey's Closet. A lady I work with, her daighter owns it. I am not sure of the prices but it should be close to you. Goodwill is Carmel/Westfield area is a good one as far a prices. My mother-n-law goes to that one often.

A.,
I have really had a lot of luck watching ads in the Sunday paper and J.C. Penney really has some great deals when they run a sale. Since Memorial Day is coming up you might see some pretty good bargains because they try to pull in traffic around the holidays.

I hope this helps you out some. I am always watching for a bargain for my son too! Sometimes consignment isn't as much as a bargain as it seems.

My husband suggests the garage sales that will be in the area soon if not already. He has been buying garage sale items for his 7 & 9 year old since the beginning and if you head north a bit towards Fishers and Carmel for the addition/group sales you hit the mother load! Many items we have found haven't been worn or were worn very little. Casey's Closet used to be in the BR area, but I haven't been there in a while. Try the Once Upon on 86th and Ditch--I like that one the best but they are hit and miss. Keep an eye on the Walmart and Target adds--you are correct, I have found their sales to be cheaper than buying used on many occasion--especially the clearence rack. There is another consignment on 116th and Allisonville but some items again are a bit $$$.
Good luck!

The great thing about this time of year is it's garage sale season! I'd check out the paper to see when the nicer neighborhoods are having thier garage sales. I know some have already started. There's an upscale neighborhood in Avon having thier garage sale this weekend, but I can't remember the name of it. Heartland crossing down on the south side is the weekend of Mother's day. It is located south on Kentucky Avenue. The farther back you go in the area, the nicer the neighborhoods are.
