Looking for Inexpensive B-day Idea for 2 Year Old

My son is turning 2 on June 23rd. I am looking for something fun that we can do. It also needs to be really inexpensive since we are saving to buy a house. Our current apartment is too small to have any kind of "party" in. I live in Federal Way but would travel up to 30 minutes. Thanks.

What can I do next?

My son's daycare person takes the younger kiddos to this and they have a BLAST! She is really good at finding the inexpensive places...

It's in Kent, so that is pretty close, too.

Your son and a few friends might REALLY have fun!!!

Personally, 2 year olds aren't going to remember very much about a birthday. My daughter will be 2 next week. We are having a small party at home with a few friends and our family because it is also her brothers (6) birthday. I will buy a grocery store cake for everyone and make her a special cupcake.

If you really want to go somewhere inexpensive. My kids have a blast at the train play area in the mall near target and then go get ice cream or slurpees or something fun as a treat to eat. let your two year old play for an extra long time running around and then get a little messy with the icecream or other treat.... take some fun pics and call it a great little birthday celebration...

The Children's Museum of Tacoma is a fun place to go with little ones. FREE Thursdays throughout June or 1/2 price afternoons M-F 3pm-6pm. Regular admission price: Adult $6 and Children $6.
I like to take advantage of the Free Thursdays and/or 1/2 price afternoons.

Well if you feel like leaving your house, I have found that the Chuckie cheese is Tacoma is great. They check your children in and can not leave with anyone. If you are doing a party they do have the party room I dont know how much that costs though our how much the provide but you can go and just sit at the tables which works just as well..And you can get coupons in the mail for pizza soda and token offers and you usually can get quite a bit with the coupon. If you feel like staying at home since you will be very prego, you could do a bubble party. Go to walmart or target and get a huge jug of bubbles and they sell inexpensive bubble blowers and have at it. This is what we did for my 3 year olds BDAY which was last weekend. I am due any day now but didnt want to short change his bday on account of me being tired so we invited family over for pizza and cake and fun in the back yard. He had a blast and I wasnt overly tired!! This idea too would be very not to sound awful but cheap...and a two year old doesnt need a huge huge party. I found that my three year old didnt need a big party either just a few people to get excited with!! Good Luck and congrats!!

You could try having a bbq at Steele Lake. They have a covered bbq area, but it costs some money to rent it. Last year we got there early and grabbed a couple of picnic tables, put up a pop-up gazebo, threw some hot dogs and hamburgers on our mini hibachi and had a 30 person birthday party for my son.
