My cousin is getting married. Both of them - to be bride and groom are still in College so they have not a made a gift registry stating that they will not have space in their small apartment. So I am looking for some ideas for gift which is useful to them. I will give cash/gift certificate as a last choice. In my opinion, cash/gift certificates are not remembered for long time. So I want to give them something which will have importance for them and it will remind them of us and their wedding day. They live in California. Share with me best gift you or your near-dear ones have received.

High thread count sheets!!! You can get good quality sheets at marshalls or online at www.smartbargains.com. Most people don't understand the need for the high thread count until they actually have them. Believe me a good nights sleep in comfy sheets will always be remembered!

Hi A.!

I have a great Idea! How about a Personalized bottle of wine? You can have a picture of them put right on the bottle! A photographer friend of mine is giving those to her clients and they are loving them! Let me know if you have any questions. You can find them at www.GetAllCorkedUp.com

Good Luck!

Hi A.,

Are many relatives close by that you could get most or all to sign something for the couple? I'm thinking that if you have a nice picture of the two of them together, you could frame the photo in one of those matted frames that everyone can sign for them. They can hang it up and always remember the special sentiments from family on their special day. It would be easy for you to do and you could find nice custom frames at Aaron Brothers or other stores similar. And you can have friends and relatives sign it at the wedding before wrapping it and giving to them.

I agree with Jodi! I didn't have a "nice" set of sheets until this year when I asked for them for Christmas! We have been married 15 years and I just now got my first nice set of sheets. You can get them cheaper on overstock.com. The ones I got were retailed at over $300 and my hubby got them for $70! They will really appreciate them especially if they have never experienced 700 thread count before!!!

One thing that's become very popular for brides (especially younger brides) is Soon To Be Mrs Hoodies. You can find several companies online that create them with any embroidered personalization in your choice of colors. A swimsuit personalized (with Just Married) for the honeymoon if they are going somewhere tropical. One gift I gave that I really loved was a beautiful ceramic cross that was hand painted and personalized with the couples names and wedding date on. For the guys, I'm not so sure. I just asked my husband what stood out in his mind from the gifts we received...he said... a barbeque basket (had a variety of yummy sauces, marinades, etc) and a video camera. Hope you find something great for them.
