Could anyone recommend a good gymnastics class for a 5 year old girl in the Plano area? I have looked at several websites but would like to hear personal experiences. We're not looking for anything competitive - just a place where she can have fun and try out the sport. She has never taken a gymnastics class before. Thanks for your help!

My daughter attends University of Gymnastics. She enjoys it a lot.

We also tried a class at WOGA and Infinite Bounds. She liked both places. You can call for a trial class and the prices at all three places were about the same. I have also heard good things about the Plano Rec Center Aerobats.

We are at Eagle's Wings in Allen, but I have heard good things from other parents about Infinite Bounds.

My girls have attended WOGA in both the Plano and now Frisco location. I highly recommend them. You can take one class for free to try things out to make sure she likes it before spending the money. Your daughter will join an age appropriate class and do everything like the other girls. The teachers are great. Parents sit and watch everything in the lobby. As a bonus at Plano, sometimes you can even see Nastia (Olympic gold medalist) and the next Olympic hopefulls train while you are there! Since that is the only place I've been, I can't say how they are on pricing, but they know what they are doing and it's worth it.

My daughter went to WOGA to work with a private cheer coach.

I would recommend WOGA. We went to the Plano location.

My kids (6 and 9) really enjoy the gymnastics classes at Heights Recreation Center. They have classes all the way from 3 yrs through high school. It is a full gymnastics experience, and they have a competitive team, but they do not *push* anyone into the competitive side :). Also, they're the cheapest by far, both per hour, and per month. It's located at Arapaho and Floyd in Richardson. I love the coaches there! You can see prices and more information online at http://www.cor.net/parksandrecreation.aspx?id=3924

WOGA in Plano. They are good at what they do (obviously since the have trained 2 Olympic champions) and you can do just classes without getting into the competitive stuff. My daughter has been there a long time and LOVES it. The staff is wonderful and they are priced very well compared with other places in the area. (We looked everywhere before starting there and they were one of the lowest in the area.)
