I am looking for a fairly cheap place in NW OKC. (Around $500 probably) I have searched and everything is either in a horrible neighborhood or really expensive. Does anyone know of any nice apartments in this area?? And also, does anyone know how I might find a roommate or another single mom?? It would be great if I had someone to split the rent with because right now I am really struggling being a single mom. THANKS !!!

What can I do next?

My husband and I used to live in Crown Pointe on MacArthur & 122nd. They were very nice and I think about $519/month. Good luck!!

Stonebrook Apartments on the corner of Macarthur and Britton are great. They have a swimming pool. I had a 2 bed for 525 there. It was wonderful.

J.,
Have you looked at Woodlake Apartments at 63rd and Rockwell? I know that their 2bds start at like $440 a month. You would be close to Target and the Rockwell Plaza shopping and all other restaurants/stores along NW Expressway.

Hope this helps,
W.

I pay 540 for a 2bed 2bath at Willow Cliff, right off 50th and MacArthur...my sister only pays 460 for her 2bed 1 bath, they have stackable washer and dryer and fireplace in every apt...Maintenence is same day service, and they pick up trash/grounds keeping every day...there are two pools, we have three lakes to go fishing and they are right next to Dolese Park so exercise and recreation are at your back door so to speak. It is PC schools which I like, the people have been very friendly...we have security that keeps everyone in line : ) I have been here a couple of months and have been very happy with it so far. They allow small pets with a deposit. If you would like more information you can call them at ###-###-####

It depends on what you call cheap.... I found some really great apartments called Pheasant Run on 63rd and Meridian. 2 bed= $535 and a one bed is $450 but definately big enough to put a crib in your room and still have space. They both have walk in closets too!! But if that is still a little much there is a place called Fairway Park (I think) right off of 63rd St. next to Nichols Hills Bank and that 2 bedroom is $460/month. It's not as nice but all of the people that live there that I met were super sweet and the manager is VERY nice too. Both of those places were quiet. I hope that helps. Good luck with the search!

Ther's a complex at 122nd and MacArthur that has a 1 BR for 326. I keep trying to get my step daughter to think about moving there-she'll be 18 soon. Don't know if you want a one or two bedroom, but surely a two wouldn't be more than 400. From all I have seen they are nice.

I believe on NW Expressway and Meridian they have 1100 sq foot, 2 bed, 2 bath for 479.00. The apartments are called LakeView. They are pretty nice, they are on NW Expressway....next to the Braums. Another thing you may want to check out is Craigslist Oklahoma. They have housing, roomates etc.
Good Luck!
