Hi,
I have a 15 month old son and am new to the area (Gilberts). I was wondering if anyone can tell me where are there good play areas for toddlers, preferably free or inexpensive (like at libraries, etc.)

Thanks so much,
S.

Algonquin Library has a play area and a great storytime available on Thursday and Friday's. You may want to look into joining a local mom's group to get other ideas on places to take your son.

Good Luck!

On Randall Road, The Randall Oaks Zoo, it is a park with a petting zoo that opens on the weekends in April and you would have to check when it is open during the week. It is a huge open area. The zoo has small animals and horses. I think the cost to get in to non residents is about $1.00. Have fun :)

Hi S.,

You can always do storytimes at your local library or else both Barnes & Noble & Borders have them as well. Spring Hill mall also has a fun play area for kids. Randall Oaks has a great petting zoo for a small fee. And Tom's Farm in the fall around October has great mazes, jumpy things as well as farm animals for a small fee, I think if you go during the week it is $5. I am part of a great moms group called Mom-2-Mom and we go to all of these places during the year. We also do park day once a week when it is warm out. If you would like more information on our group, you can call our hotline at ###-###-#### for a copy of our newsletter.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

Randall Oaks Farm on Randall Rd. has a park/playground/petting zoo that is fun for the little ones. Of course there is always the play area at Spring Hill Mall and the Barnes and Noble there has story time. Check online for days & times.

Another fun place to go is Jumps n Jiggles in Lisle. It is just off 290 on Biesterfield. 2 dollars gets you in. They have a climbing/activity area and a carosel that you can ride with no limits. They have a website for more details. We really like it there.

There is also a fun new place in Elburn called Party Animal that is AWESOME for toddlers.
