Looking for Family Friendly Subdivision

We are moving to Tulsa area this summer but have never been there. Can anyone please give some suggestions on subdivisions we might be interested in? Possibly Jenks area??? Or maybe other areas we should consider? We are looking for a home with a park within walking distance and a neighborhood pool - although having the park in the area is more important than the pool, so we would definitely consider a subdivision without the pool. REally would like cul-de-sac but it seems like there are not many of those in that area from what I can gather on internet. We are open to new or "used" homes. I guess if we have to settle on area without park, we really want lots of kids in the neighborhood for our kids - preschool age thru jr. high, to play/hang out with. So any child-friendly neighborhood/subdivision suggestion would also be appreciated!

What can I do next?

I moved to this area about 2 1/2 years ago. I looked all around and finally settled on Bixby. I love it here and so does my son. I have friends that have actually moved across town just to be in this community. I'm not sure what price range you are looking for or if you have a realtor. There are many communities with the options you are looking for. Maybe this will help narrow your search down just a bit.

Hi there, I use to live in a really nice neighborhood called Eagle Creek. It's in Broken Arrow. They have a couple of parks within the addition. Nice houses. Only draw back is that you have to pay dues. Most of the houses cost anywhere between 125,000 to 150,000. 3 bedrooms with an extra room that could be a office or another room. The house size is around 2000 sq ft. I would still be there but I got divorced. Anyways I hope this helps. Broken Arrow has a really nice school system too. I grew up and graduated from BA.

T.,
There are SEVERAL family friendly neighborhoods in the Metro Tulsa Area; we live in Eagle Creek subdivision in Broken Arrow 51st/193rd and have for the past 4 years- we're 10-20minutes from anywhere you want to be in the area- Broken Arrow has a lower cost of housing than Jenks, but equally excellent school systems and communities- you really can't go wrong looking in the South Tulsa/Jenks/Broken Arrow area, Owasso is growing quickly as well but is further North- We will be selling our home in the next several months- 1800+ sq feet 3 bedroom/2 bath/open split floor plan- 1 story-LOTS of Amenities like hot tub/full deck/underground sprinklers, etc...if you want more info I'm happy to share- we plan to list by owner in the near future- there are several new housing developments ALL OVER- so it's not hard to find something that's just right for you!
Best of wishes house shopping! And welcome to the area!

Hi T.,

I would highly recommend you look into the Wakefield editions in South Jenks...roughly 121st & Peoria/Elm. I'm not sure what price range you are looking for, but there are houses anywhere from around 150,000 up to the mid 400,000s. We live in Wakefield Ponds and absolutely LOVE where we live! There are 2 pools and tons of kids of all ages. We feel like we lucked out when we built here. There are new construction homes available as well as pre-loved homes for sale. This is an incredible family oriented neighborhood with block parties, get togethers and BBQ's in the summer. (There are several cul-de-sacs too). Most of the neighborhood is in the Jenks district, however, as you go further back (south), I believe it turns into Bixby district. Good luck in your home search. If you have any more questions about the area feel free to contact me ____@____.com.

YOu might wanna check into the Broken Arrow area. That is where I live. We have quite a few parks, pools, and cul de sacs. Broken Arrow also has a really good school district. jenks, and Union are good school districts in the area too, but are in more urban areas so not as many parks and stuff.
