Looking for Church in Plano/Allen/McKinney Area

Hi Moms,
I am looking for a church home for my family. My husband and I were both raised in Christian homes, however, he grew up attending a church of christ church and I attended a non-denominational church. Tradition is extremely important to my husband. We have visited several churches that in my opinion had awesome worship services, my husband said it was distracting to him. He felt like they were performing. I really need a church that is has modern worship with new songs. Worship is very important to me. I prefer music and instruments during praise services. So we need a church that is bible based but not too showy for my husband. We also have two young children, so a good children's ministry is important as well. We really want to get plugged in somewhere.
Thanks for your help!

try Christ UMC in Plano at Parker and Coit. They have two types of worship services...blended/traditional and contemporary. They have an awesome children's ministry.

First Baptist Church of Allen has a good program for all ages. They have several things for the children to do. The ages of your children are not quite ready for the extra things. They do have Bible classes on Sunday mornings for the 2 year old. Please come and try it. Call for more information to me, C. at ###-###-####. I have been going to this church since my 25 year old was 6 months old. I have raised 3 children in that church.

Please come and visit Chase Oaks Church in Plano. It's located near 75/Legacy -- near the Cinemark Legacy theaters. Service times are: Friday 7 pm; Sunday 9 am & 11 am.
It's a non-denominational Christian, Bible-believing church. We've been here for 7-8 yrs and we love our church home!!

I think we have the church for you. Our pastor used to be the head pastor for Pitman Creek Church of Christ. He started New Heritage about 6 years ago, it is non-denominational. We are located in Allen at 8 Prestige Circle, Suite #122. We are Christ Centered, Bible Based, People Focused and Mission Minded. You can learn a little more at www.newheritagefamily.com. We are a very casual church. It took me a long time to find New Heritage, but the first time we attended both my husband and I knew it was our Church Home. We feel very comfortable, never judged.

The children's ministry is awesome! That was the first reason we tried New Heritage. But we were very happy with everything there.

If you have any questions please let me know. We'd love to have you visit. This coming Sunday, November 30th is Family Sunday - all the children worship with us (happens anytime there are 5 Sundays in a month).

God bless!

My husband and I have been going to Greenville Oaks church of Christ in Allen for 8 years now, and we love it. Although no instruments in worship, the song selection is really good (modern and upbeat, but also meaningful). Children's ministry is great; lots and lots of young families with young kids. Great, great leadership. We'd love to have you visit sometime.

Hi!  Our family attends Custer Road United Methodist Church and we love it.  It has a wonderful Children's program and many great worship services, including a traditional and contemporary at 11 a.m.  (Contemporary is upstairs in the Upper Room area.) I don't think it's called Contemporary, but it's more interactive with praise music, etc...We'll be there this morning in the traditional service.  I sing in the adult choir, my husband will be in the congregation and my 3 year old and 19 month old will be in Sunday School/nursery. You are welcome to call me if you want more info! My number is ###-###-####.
