Hi moms,
I have looked online and have asked around already to no avail. I am looking NOT for a book about "new baby brother," but about a book that deals with mommy being pregnant and then their being a baby - IF there is one out there. My son kisses my belly all the time (probably because he sees Daddy do it) and he points to it and says, "Baby brother." So, on SOME level, he knows something is going on with my huge stomach. He reads and rereads his new baby brother books but they deal with things like baby terms - i.e. stroller, high chair, diapers, etc. These are things he knows. Are there books that deal with the hospital or mom being gone for a couple of days?
Thank you!
C.

We liked Waiting for Baby. It's a board book with no words, so you can tell the story however you are comfortable. They cover ultrasounds, decorating for baby, your growing tummy and the hospital visit. http://www.amazon.com/Waiting-Baby-New-Annie-Kubler/dp/08...

And to explain the medical side...what's happening inside your tummy we liked Before you Were Born. http://www.amazon.com/Before-Were-Born-Jennifer-Davis/dp/...

I read a book to my daughter when I was pregnant with my son called "there's a house inside my mommy". It was a great book and she loved it! I got it at barnes and noble bookstore

Along with those books mentioned, how about show a picture of you pregnant with HIM, a pic of you at the hospital holding HIM? Talk about how you were in the hospital and the dr. wore a mask and the nurses wore rubber gloves. Maybe let him try on a mask and glove?

I think the Berenstein Bears have one. It might include Little Sister at the very end, but I am pretty sure it is mostly about Mama Bear being pregnant.
