I am in need of a caregiver who might be available on short notice to watch my two children on the occation that both my husband and myself have to work on a Sat or Sun. This person could be a mother who would like to make a little extra money occationally and perhaps feels that interaction with other children would be beneficial to her own or a young person who likes children and wants to make extra spending money. It would be a bonus if this person was a responsible, intellegent individual interested in forming a mentoring relationship with my 11 yr. old daughter who sometimes needs somone other that her Mom to talk to. My name is N. and I am interested in your post about an occasional sitter for your two children, 11 and 4. A little about myself : I will be 24 years old in December. I currently live in the Northglenn/Thornton area with my boyfriend of a year. I have an Associates Degree in Computer Programming and have a good full time job. I love children and watch my aunt's (ages 2 - 12) very often when she has something to do. Me and my boyfriend are currently expecting our first child in the beginning of March, which we are exstatic about. I have been thinking of ways to earn a little extra cash, but because of being 6 months pregnant, I can't really get something where I'm standing a lot, which cancels out a lot of the seasonal help at stores. I saw your post and I thought..Perfect! Not only is it a weekend thing but I love children and thought that even though your youngest is not exactly a baby anymore, the time with a toddler would give me great experience. And even though I am 6 months along, I still have plenty of energy for playing :)As far as being a good mentour to your 11 year old, I think I would be great! I remember back to those days and thats about the age where it's always nice to have another older girl to talk to because you think "mom won't relate". Well, thats pretty much it about me :) I don't really do anything on the weekends anymore, aside from resting :) so my availability is extrememly open for what you are needing!
