We adopted an adorable puppy this weekend, and we are looking for somewhere that offers affordable spaying. We live in the Clinton Township area, but would be willing to drive elsewhere.

What can I do next?

You may want to give Madison Veterinary Hospital a call. They had excellent rates for our kitty. We love it there. They are located at 12mile and John R. ###-###-####

"Doc" as Heidi said is one of the best in the area. Doctor Syed has been my vet for 14 years, he isn't a specialist, but he is great. He cares about the animals and their families. The Pet Doctor's phone number is ###-###-####.

I found myself the most wonderful caring vet about 9 years ago. He is definitely the cheapest I have come across. One thing that you would need to go in understanding is that you will usually have a long wait in the waiting room. You will appreciate this though when it is your turn. Doc takes the time with each person and doesn't rush them out when there are questions to be answered. He is very caring and patient. He is located on Hayes just south of Canal. The office is the Pet Doctor. He is the only vet in there and the place isn't all new and fancy, but that is what helps keep his costs lower. Have fun with that new puppy!!

Call the Human Society-- they offer spay and neuter clinics almost every weekend.

how old is your puppy? Paint Creek Animal Clinic on Orion Road in Rochester is pretty inexpensive...but they won't spay or neuter (or any vet for that matter) I think they wait until the puppy is 6 months old?

Hi A.,

I live in Macomb Township, MI. I go to
Animal Hospital of Sterling Heights on Van Dyke just south of 18 Mile Rd. Dr. Wilson also has another place in
Romeo, MI. off of Van Dyke and 31 Mile and a half. It is
Wilson's Veterinary Hospital and it is emergency care in the evening to 8:00am in the morning, also.
Dr. Wilson has really good prices. We have a
English Springer Spaniel puppy (now 10 months). She was $100 plus exam ($24) & pain meds. ($14) total $134 there abouts(under 25#-over 25# $125)in August, 2008 when we had her spayed. Our puppy was 4 1/2 months old and 24 pounds.

I hope this will help you.

J. from Macomb
