Looking for a Tea Set for a 3 Year Old

I am thinking about a tea party for my daughter's 3rd birthday with just a few friends. I am looking for a tea set that is durable for young little hands, and not so tiny that it is not usable. Preferably something plastic rather than porcelain, dishwasher safe, that comes with lots of pieces-- a set for 4 with cups, saucers, and little plates. (We have the Fisher Price set, but you cannot actually put anything in the tea pot-- it just serves pretend tea and makes music, I would actually like to use the set.) If anyone has a suggestion of one that you like, I would love to hear about it! Thanks!

What can I do next?

I don't know how dishwasher safe this would be, but maybe you could find a sterling silver set? You could probably find one at an estate sale, garage sale, antique store, or resale shop. I don't know how much time you have to look for one, though. Just a suggestion. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Dear A. - Have you seen the Tupperware Princess Tea Set? It has ten pieces, which includes the four cups and four saucers and the ice tea pitcher with lid, just like the REAL one in large size for Tupperware. You can use it all for REAL beverages and snacks. Very cute, very durable and not breakable. My daughter is 3 years old and LOVES it. The ONLY catch is that they no longer offer it. I became a Tupperware Consultant in January, but actually had bought the set for my daughter before that. Then, they discontinued the set in May of this year. I have one EXTRA set that I've been holding for a customer of mine that is on a tight budget, and wanted to buy it in August. If you are interested, I can contact her and see if she still wants it or not. If she does, then I can check with my Director to see if she still has any NEW ones in stock. Just let me know. The set is $28.50 (plus ship/tax), which is about $34. It will last forever and if it cracks, chips or peels...then Tupperware will replace for FREE (if still in stock) or give you a CREDIT. Anyway, just want to make you aware of this very cute Princess Tupperware Tea Set. Take care. Many Blessings - L.

My daughter loves her IKEA set. It's plain porcelain but is only about $10.
