I lived in Toms River all my life, born and raised there and my children go to Holy Family School in Lakewood they are in 7th and 3rd grade. I looked at St. Joe's, St. Dominics and have found that Holy Family is a warm and loving environment for children...there motto is "Where every child is a Blessing". The student body comes from all the surrounding towns, Brick, Jackson,Toms River and Howell and there is busing available from all of these towns with a before and after care program even a summer camp program.
It was hard to believe that this phenomenal school even had the lowest tuition rate in the area. Teachers are great, Principal is incredible and your children will feel right at home. There's a web sit if you want to check it out...
www.hfslakewood.org.
Good luck with your move and God Bless.

Hi I live in Toms River. Toms River is a very large town. My children go to the public schools although you are looking for a catholic school. I know St. Joes is the best. Good luck with the move. I have three children. My oldest is an 8 year old boy and I have twin boy girl who are 5. When you get settled and if your looking for a play date or just want to know about TR I would love to get together.

I'm not sure if there are any Catholic Schools in Toms River, but you might want to check out Holy Family School in Lakewood. My son has gone there since first grade and we have been very happy with the school. Good luck with your move. I'd be happy to help with any other questions on moving to this area.

There are several Catholic Schools in the area of Ocean County you are moving to. St. Joe's is in Toms River and it feeds into Monsignor Donovan High School. Both are excellent. In Brick, the next town over, there is St.Dominic's, also an excellent school. One town over from Brick, is St. Peter's in Point Pleasant Beach. There is also Holy Family in Lakewood. Over the border from PPB is Manasquan, where you'd find St. Denis's. All the schools are excellent, although I have heard the least positive comments about St. Denis and Holy Family. Mon Don is the closest Catholic High School in the area, but a lot of the kids go on to Christian Brothers in Lincroft in Monmouth County or to St. Rose in Belmar, also in Monmouth County. All have wonderful reputations. Good luck!

If you are looking for a Catholic school, Holy Family in Lakewood is THE BEST!!! I have felt "at home" since I walked in the front door. It is a secure, welcoming extension of my home. The children graduate prepared for high-school and their standards exceed those of other area schools. As a matter of fact, our 7th grade Scholastic Olympic Team just won first place in their division and First Place overall...this is over 19 area schools including St. Domiminic's, St. joes and all area public and other parochial schools!!
We used to attend St. Dominic's and I have researched other area Catholic schools, and by far, Holy Family is the best in scholastics, and many other areas.
We have a great principal who is available to parents and who takes an active interest in the students.

I cannot say enough nice things, but you should go to an Open House...I know there is one on May 21st or you can call ###-###-#### and ask to speak to Carol (marketing). You can come and visit any time, but the best time is during school hours to see the kids "in action" and hear the learning taking place.

St. Joseph's (aka St. Joes) is in Toms River. My husband and grew up in Toms River and still live here. I never knew of anyone going to any other catholic school. Kids either went to St. Joes or they went to the public schools (which there are a lot of!) The Church is very nice. I've had a couple of friends get married there and I know of some people who are members of the Parish. We are members of St. Justins, but there is no school associated with it. It seems most people got to one or the other Churches but all kids go to St Joes. It is located on Hooper Avenue. I just looked it up online for you. I forgot, St Joes is the grade school and then the high school which is right there too is Monsignor Donovan (aka Mon Don) Here's the link to the high school, http://www.mondonhs.com/ I didn't quickly find one for the grade school, but I'm sure you could with a little more time to search. The address is 711 Hooper Avenue. Welcome to Toms River! : )
