I'm moving to Miami within the next month and desperately need to find a quality preschool for my 3 y/o. Please help with any good referrals. I've already sent this request and was surprised no one responded.

Hi,

Where in Miami are moving to. I have my son at St. Partick Pre-school in Miami Beach. It is a great school.

You can go on their web site and check it out.

Another school I checked out was Cushman, the neighbor hood isn't great but the teaching is the best... though it is quite pricey... it was my first choice but I could not afford it...

Good luck

Exactly where in Miami will you be living? I know of a good pre-school in South Miami (Sunset Rd) if that helps. I assume you will need a place that takes kids all day, not just a part-time program, right?

Hi,

It really will depend a lot on where in Miami you will be living. If you will be in the Doral area, there are three you may want to consider. The Joy of Learning is always in hot demand; my cousin's little boy went there and they loved it. I've heard excellent things as well from Born2Learn, although your child must be at least 18 months old. Finally, Kids Corner is the one I found that has the best facilities, well thought out, great playgrounds, creative activities, will apply sunscreen and bug repellant before taking children outdoors, etc.

Hope this helps; you will need other recommendations if you will not be working or living in or near Doral.

There are a lot of really good pre-schools, but a lot depends on where exactly in Miami you are going to live/work. It is also important to consider whether you want a pre-school that is big on teaching or more like a daycare. My child attends Coral Villa Christian Academy. My 18 year old brother in law went there as a child so it is well established. I am happy with it , but my daughter is only 20 months. I can get you the number if you want. I have also heard good things about the Montisorri schools too. Let me know. Good luck.

Hi, D.
I know how u feel. My two year old is going to start school soon and he has never been away from me not even a sitter. I feel so scared!!!!
I take my son to gymboree classes and the teachers recommend The petite academy, also born to learn, and skills. you can look up those and see if u like them!
Good Luck
