I'm torn between LIJ and Mt. Sinai hospitals. The facility in LIJ is incredible but my doctor or practice is not the one who necessarily delivers. The practice has cooperative practives and whoever is on call does delivery. I would like to know the doctor who delivers my baby. Mt. Sinai doctors seem to deliver with the doctor or someone in the practice. Can someone recommend a Dr. who delivers at Mt. Sinai?
Thanks!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my OBGYN. I delivered both kids at Mt Sinai NYC, one naturally and one with an epidural. I found the staff to be 100% supportive of both natural childbirth and breastfeeding. And all the nurses attended to me so well. I felt like I was staying in a hotel with a hospitality staff rather than a hospital staff! LOL!
My OBGYN is Dr Michelle Morgan of OBGYN Westside at 620 Columbus Avenue. Her practice is large so sometimes there is a wait. There are 4 doctors in the office and they all share the pregnant paitents, so any Dr could deliver you. But I know them all and they are all lovely. I have been a patient of Dr Morgan's for about 10 years.
Good Luck and Congratulations!

Dr Abbe Wain is my ob/gyn and she delivers at Mt. Sinai. She is terrific. Since my daughter is adopted I did not have a use for her as an ob, but my dear friend did for all three of her kids and swears by her. She is so nice, so gentle and thorough. I recommend her highly. She is on East 88th and her number is ###-###-####. In case they ask you can tell them S. Pritchett recommended them to you.
I have not needed surgery in years (thank God) but she always was with Mt. Sinai and I don't think she's changed, but do ask to be sure.
Best,
S.

I also HIGHLY recommend Dr. Abbe Wain. I delivered with her my high-risk pregnancy. She was truly amazing and helped me through pushing when other doctors may have just opted for C-section. She shares her practice with Dr Friedman, who is also fantastic and very caring. So because there are only two of them in their practice, you are likely to get to know both of them and be comfortable delivering with either. In addition to being very nice, they are both very skilled and superbly trained.
Will like to add that the staff at Mount Sinai was amazing! The nurses stayed on after their shift had ended just to continue helping me with delivering my baby. I delivered 40 minutes after their shift and they were still there making sure everything went well even as the nurses from the new shift had already arrived. It brings tears to my eyes to think about how dedicated they were and I feel terrible that I forgot to send them thank you cards. Even though it's been three years, I think I will still send them something. Thanks for reminding me!
