I am looking for an Ob/Gyn that delivers at Rush Copley. I have been going to one for the past year and a half for gyne issues, and have recently heard some bad reviews about her. I have been looking at Dreyer Medical or the Women's Health Associates(with Rush). If anyone has any recommendations from there, I would appreicate it. Thank you.

What can I do next?

good luck with the conception process! I know someone already mentioned the midwives at Rush, Karen and Noreen, but I wanted to second that recommendation. After a VERY careful search, I selected Karen and Noreen and were very pleased. The entire experience at Rush was excellent. Karen delivered my little boy in Jan. 2009, and I still am in awe of her professionalism, beside manner and attention to me and my family!

I love Dr. Alexander at Women's Healthcare Accocaiates. She delivered both of my daughters (23 months and 17 days old)and was great through both pregnancies. Everyone in the office is friendly and very helpful.

Dr. Carpio & Dr. Druhan already mentioned are in the same practice, Rush Copley OB/GYN. It's an EXCELLENT practice I absolutely LOVE. I travel past a few hospitals to get there...it's about 40 minutes away, but I returned to them despite the distance because they are SOOO good. They definitely raised my standard on what qualifies a great doctor. :) I'm with Dr. Richard Tom there and LOVE him, though Dr. Carpio is the only one in the practice I have not met and I LOVE all the others who I have met. Dr. Tom, Dr. Druhan, Dr. Andrea Jones, they are ALL excellent (as well as the midwives Karen and Noreen who I started out with for my first pregnancy). I HIGHLY recommend them. Excellent doctors AND excellent bedside manner, very thoroughly explain things, I think they are WONDERFUL :)

I LOVE Dr. Stephanie Simmons at Women's Healthcare Associates at Rush Copley. She delivered my twins. She is very nice and has 2 kids of her own. I convinced my best friend to go to her and she has been happy since the switch.
Their office moved into the new building at copley and is very nice and very clean.

I haven't met all the doctors in the practice. I think there are only 2 that I haven't met. Of the ones that I have, I've been happy with.

Also with Rush-Copley OB/Gyne is Andrea Jones. I have seen her for years. She was with me all thru my twin pregnancy in 2006 & my newest baby in March 2009. She even changed her day off to deliver the twins.

Good luck.

Women's Health Care Associates are the best. Copley OB is a very close second.

I saw Dr. Oransaye & Dr. Olavi from Women's Healthcare Associates right by Copley in the heart-health building, and they're both associated with Copley. Dr. Oransaye did my delivery and everything was peachy keen. Dr. Olabi's a bit chattier, so it depends on how important that is to you. Both were very nice though. As long as you don't mind male OB/GYNs. And they're both originally from Africa I believe. It shouldn't make a difference, but I know that for some people it does, so I'd hate for you to show up and be surprised. I was very happy with both of them. They have another doctor in their practice, Janel Glover, but she doesn't do deliveries anymore. Good luck!

PS, I saw that someone mentioned Dr. Embry - I love her! I started seeing her 13 years ago, and only switched because my insurance changed. I am planning on going back to her soon, but I'll have to take the full 'new patient' appointment since it's been a while. You're sure to like her.

I have been going to Dr. Stephanie Simmons with Womens Healthcare Associates for 7 years now. She delivered both my daughters at Rush Copley. I also had postpartum depression with my first daughter and she treated me well with complete understanding and empathy. I know she has 2 young children of her own. Her number is ###-###-####.

I agree with the other moms... Dr. Embry is the best. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She is very caring, supportive and easy to talk to. I met with the other doctors at Women's Healthcare Associates and they were nice as well. I would say they have a fantastic group in their practice!

I would recommend Women's Healthcare Associates. All of the doctors are very nice as I had to meet with all of them before the birth of my DD in February. My primary was Dr. Embry and she was wonderful in the delivery room and was the best cheerleader I could have hoped for during the whole delivery. Also, good choice in hospital. We had a great experience with all the staff throughout our stay in the hospital. Good luck!

I too have been seeing Dr. Teressa Alexander for about 4 years now and love her and the staff. Everyone is so nice there. She delivered both my girls 2yrs old and 6 weeks. She also did my DNC due to a miscarriage and was great throughout the entire ordeal with me.

I go to Judson jones at Dreyer. he is amazing. His practice may be closed due to the number of women who try to get in to see him but it would worth a try!

I had my last baby at Rush Copley and my doctor is Dr. Teressa Alexander w/ Women's Healthcare Assoc. I love her! She's the best doctor I've ever had. I actually switched to her on the recommendation of three of my friends who go to her also.

I have never stuck to one gynie because I had a hard time relating to someone or didnt feel comfortable or just felt like an appointment instead of a person.....until i found Dr Embry ........i have had my 3 children with her & still going for all my annual checkups instead of blowing them off......i have seen her out in public several times & she always stops to talk to me instead of heading the other way......even after 5 yers she remembers conversations she and I have had.......i see you had 2 other postings of Dr's in the same practice which I have also had to visit with when I had to do the "circulation" of Dr's during my pregnancy's & they were nice too......you mention that you are having a rough time conceiving & my friend saw a Dr right next to Dr Embry that deals with fertility, his name is Dr Binoire (not sure of excat spelling) she saw him for 2 years then decided to do accupuncture & was able to get pregnant after 6 years of trying .......good luck

I love Dr. Embry. She is very down to earth, and I feel like I'm just talking to a buddy when I'm in her office. I have had two babies with her as my doctor. Her nurse is very knowledgeable and compassionate too.

Best of luck finding your doctor.

I don't have any experience with OB/GYNs in the Aurora area, but I would suggest going to the hospital's website and looking through the list of physicians there as a starting point. Good luck!

I used Dr. Duval and his partner Dr. Olabi at Rush Copley. Dr. Duval is no longer there but Dr Olabi is. I was considered a high-risk patient during my perganancy and got wonderful care from Dr Duval and Dr. Olabi. Dr Olabi speaks several languages and has a good bed-side amnner. I have a wonderful healthy daughter, who was born pre-maturely, to attest to the care I received from them. Hope this helps.
