My son sees Dr. Vinzon at the UCLA office on Sepulveda/Marine. She's great. Always calls back and always sees him the same day when he's sick.

I've heard great things about Dr. Lui as well, but I think she only takes newborns.

Check out Dr. Vivian Liu. We also used to go to the same MB Kids Doc and she was one of the doctors there, but left to start her own practice near Mahattan Village Mall. She's on maternity leave right now, but has another wonderful doctor, Dr. Bayan, who also works there full-time. Good luck!

Hi, we LOVE our pediatrician. Can't say enough about her but she has been treating my kids since birth, 6 yr old & 3 yr old! Dr. Pang in Torrence is my new pediatrician and so far, I think he's great! Takes a lot of time with me as a new mom, calls back when you leave questions.

First, good for you for looking for alternatives when you don't receive the care you feel you should be getting. I did this with my OB during my pregnancy and it was one of the best things I could have done. Our ped is Dr. Laura Sergis and we absolutely love her. try nguyen h. nguyen....we have him for my two daughters. what i like about him is that you are not just another number. they are open on saturdays and from my experience, i was able to reach him for medical advice after office hours. his wife hanna is wonderful, she works the front desk and makes your child feel special. they are located in torrance. 3246 sepulvida, close to del amo mall. tel - ###-###-####.

healthcare partners have some terrific peds. we see dr. sharon campbell in the office on del amo between hawthorne and prairie. we have on occasion seen another ped in the office and all our experiences have been good. we have been with her since my daughter, who is almost 6, was born and added our twins boys when they came along 2 years later. the thing i love about her is that she is a mom several times over so is very practical about things. she is also very protective of my one son who has respirtory issues. several times when we have had to see another ped in the office because she is booked she comes to make sure they are doing everything right and even over rides them on occasion. i feel very secure having my children under her care because i feel she truly cares about my kids.

We have been going to Dr. Rayne Pang for years. He is on Fashion Way in Torrance, right near Del Amo Mall. His staff is always friendly, they always get me in if my kids need care that day, and Dr. Pang is wonderful - Very friendly to parents and kids alike and of course, a very good doctor. I am a new mom to a 1 month old....our pediatrician is Rita Tenenbaum at Beach Cities Health District on Prospect in Redondo. I love her. Very matter of fact and knowledgeable. My sister takes her kids to Childrens Medical Group. Their primary doctor is Dr. Gwen Klyman-Friend, but they also really like Dr. Laura Sergis and Dr. Lauren N. Nguyen. I take my daughter to Children's Family Medical Group in Torrance. It's right next to Torrance Memorial. My daughter's pediatrician is Dr. Lauren Nguyen and I absolutely LOVE her. She's wonderful and really takes a lot of time to focus on the child and the where they should be and any concerns you might have. Any doctor in that practice is really great. Dr. April Churness has worked with us if Dr. Lauren is out and we love her too. Very thorough. We've never seen the nurse practitioner. Always the doctor. Good luck!

Hi T., I know how frustrating looking for good medical care can be. I wanted to respond and tell you that we are in San Pedro and my three girls have been going to Dr Wagoner with Medical Institute Little Company of Mary since before my youngest was born, nearly 11 years ago. We have stayed with them because my girls have always liked everyone in that office, including the other two doctors and all the nurses. It was important to me to choose a female pediatrician for their annual physicals so they would feel comfortable. They do accept various insurances so it would be worth a call so see if yours is accepted. I would highly recommend them. They have walk-in hours as well as well-child care and any time we have had a true emergency, the response time has been immediate. I believe they also have an office in Torrance but we have never been there. Good Luck!
