Does anyone have any delivery experiences good or bad with Cedar Park Hospital or Round Rock Hospital? I need to find a new doctor and first want to decide which hospital I want to deliver at. also, if you have a good female obgyn that delivers at either hopital please let me know. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I haven't actually had a baby. However, I still see the doctors :) I HIGHLY recommend Women's Health Associates of Central Texas. Dr. Roane Blaker and Dr. Yohe are wonderful. I mostly see their PA Brittany Key who is FABULOUS. Nothing but good things to say about all these ladies and their staff.

I never got to deliver at Round Rock Hospital because my son was going to be premature and I was transfered to St. Davis by Doctor Michelle Irvin. She is a great doctor and took very good care of me thru my whole pregnancy. I just seem to always have premature babies. I would recommend calling her. Her office is next to the hospital, the # is ###-###-####.

I delivered my daughter at Round Rock Hospital and it was a good experience. We had fantastic nurses from the Labor to Postpartum. The Nursery nurses were wonderful as well. They took extra time with us to answer all the "new parent" questions we had and gave us wonderful advice.

My OB/GYN is Dr. Susan Orth at Oakwood Women's Center. She is awesome! I've seen a couple of the other docs in the practice when she's been out of town and they've been good too.

Dr. Michelle Irvin is located out of Round Rock Medical Center. She delivered my last baby and did my hysterectomy. I truly loved having her as my doctor. All the nurses in her office are wonderful as well and really make you feel comfortable.

I delivered at round rock medical and loved the expierence. The labor/delivery nurse was awsome and respected my wishes when it came to our birth plan and also the pp nurses were great too. The lacaion consulates never got tired of me calling or visiting when I needed help with breastfeeding. My Ob/gyn is Frank Hinds @ Lone star cicle of care...###-###-#### he was nice and was the first time I used a male and he made my husband and I both feel very comfortable.

I've been very happy with North Austin OB/GYN. The practice was recently taken over by Dr. Sebastyn and she seems cool. I got the impression that she is more of a natural organic oriented physician. In addition, I see the midwife, Lisa Carlille, for as many of my appts as I can, and I LOVE her. I wish she was able to deliver my kids! The practice uses the North Austin Hospital right across the street.

Christina Sebestyan delivers at North Austin Medical Center at Mopac/Parmer, it's a fabulous hospital and she's a wonderful, young doctor. So kind and gentle and respectful.

With the new toll roads, NAMC nearly as close, and a really nice facility. I am a birth doula, so I get to compare!

Good luck!

Dr. Karen Southmayd. She is at the Oakwood Women's Centre in Round Rock. She has also been OB/GYN to two daughters and one daughter in law. They all had been refered to her by someone else and really liked her.

I currently go to Vincent Sherman in Georgetown, TX. he and his brother in the same office came HIGHLY recommended by the nurses at my family care dr. I don't know if he delivers in Round Rock or Cedar Park or not, but you could call and inquire. He is really nice and i referred my mom to him and she LOVED him.

I delivered my second child via c-section at Round Rock Medical Center. It was great..no problems at all. As for an obgyn, I use Ann Baylor and she is fantastic. Her partner Michelle Irvin is also great.

Dr. Jennifer Meadows is an OBGYN and she specializes in conception to birth. She delivers at the Cedar Park Hospital. She is very friendly, and easy to talk to. I love having her as my doctor. The Cedar Park Hospital as an amazing maternity wing. They have memory foam beds, TV's with internet access (incase you need to say incontact with your email or whatever), large suites so your family can be comfortable while they visit, and it has a very warm feeling. If you go by, they will usually give you a tour of the facility, if you just tell them that you are looking for a new hospital and OBGYN.

Hi, J.,

I'm a PRN L&D nurse at Cedar Park Hospital, and work full-time at Seton Northwest Hospital. Dr. Tony Monteiro is a new doctor with Cedar Park Hospital, and from working with him at Seton NW, he is AWESOME!! High recommendation for him! :)

Dr. Meadows has proven to be unprofessional in both her professional and business dealings with us. We are expecting our second child and had a wonderful OB for our first delivery. Dr. Meadows has made us wait up to two hours for a scheduled appointment while patients who were not scheduled got straight in. It is very frustrating to get into the office for a five minute visit at three o'clock and be the last one out of the office while she deals with other things. In addition, the afterhours number she gives forwards to a clinic. And when I was 33 weeks pregnant and too late to find another doctor she made me sign a paper saying there was an additional $50 fee that insurance would not pay for her to fill out two short forms. One for my maternity leave and another for disability, both standard forms that are required by my job and both short enough that my last doctor filled them out in one minute while I waited. Unprofessional is an understatement.
