Looking for a Nanny or Daycare Partime in the Fall

I am returning to work in the fall part time. I am very nervous and scared to leave my 12 month old with anyone who is not family. Does anyone know someone who either comes to your home or has a small daycare (in home or public) that they would highly recommend. I am looking for someone in the West or South areas of Naperville, North/East Plainfield, or South/East areas of Aurora. I am feeling so guilty about possibly putting my child in daycare. I would appreciate any great referrals. Thanks!

Hi J., I wanted to introduce myself as a home daycare provider. My daycare is called Little Star Daycare and I am located in Aurora off of Eola and Montogomery area. I understand your hesitation to leave your daughter in the care of someon else. I went through the same thing when I had my daughter. I would like to help you out in two ways. First I can tell you a bit about my program and I can also give you some info on interviewing daycare providers.

I'll talk to you soon,

I know a nanny in Glen Ellyn who might be open to traveling your way. She is phenomenal and has 6 yrs of full time nanny experience.

She's very expensive though, currently making $550/week. That's the trade, you know; nannies are in your home, but they charge about double a daycare. But I think it's worth it.

If you're open to that, I'd be happy to call her and see if she's available. Let me know.

Thanks,
A.

J.,
I do not have a referral for you. I just wanted to extend my support. I am the mother of a 2 year old and feel guilty for going to work and putting him in daycare. (I work full time.)We have a great daycare provider on the northwest side of Aurora. That helps. There are very good daycare providers out there. My son has been in daycare since he was 9 weeks old. He is doing very well. I am sure your child will do well also. Know there are many moms out there who share your feelings.
