Does anyone know of any "Mommy & Me" type classes? I am looking for something fun to do with my 5 month old besides playing with her same old toys! Also to get some human interaction besides with eachother.. for BOTH of us!! I am on a more than strict budget so anything that's no charge or very inexpensive would be perfect.. I also work full time so it would have to be on a weekend! If you know of anything please let me know!! Thanks!

What can I do next?

I am an organizer of a mom's group here in San Antonio and we do several things together that are either free or inexpensive, like park playdates and indoor play areas. We have events on the weekends and Moms Only events in the evenings. We would love for you to check out our group and see if our group might be right for you and your family: http://moms.meetup.com/1908/about/ I think there is also a working moms group in San Antonio. You might want to do an internet search to find our what is available in your area. As far as Mommy and me classes that I know of there is Gymboree, Little gym, Love to Swim School, J&R Gymnastics, but none of these are free and I am not sure how inexpensive I would consider them either. I would check out the YMCA or local Churches to see if you could find free or inexpensive classes!

I took my niece who is now 2 yrs old to the little gym and we had lots of fun. The teachers/instructors are all very nice and the class helps with grosse motors skills and the interaction with other children and parents. Just so there are no surprises when you show up be prepared to sing a little. Here is their contact information as well###-###-#### www.tlgnesanantoniotx.com. People also highly recommend gymboree. I also had a friend attend the baby & me swim classes at love to swim http://www.love-to-swim.com/baby2.htm. I hope some of this helps you out.

Good luck

I recommend you the Kindermusik music classes. You can look it up in the internet. I like the one at the Musical Art Center of San Antonio with Jenifer Covington ###-###-####.
They have 2 centers in San Antonio: one in 281 & 410, and the other one I am not sure but I beleive is close to I-10 & 410.
My kids loved it and I did too.
The center is great, my 4 year-old is now in piano there with another teacher.
Good luck

Hello fellow Northern California refugee! We left Sacramento in January 2006 because we desperately wanted to buy a house and didn't want to be neck deep in a mortgage for the rest of our lives! I'm sure you can agree :) Anyhow, the only Mommy & Me class that comes to mind right now is called strollerfit: http://www.strollerfit.com/
You get to meet other moms and work out while interacting with your baby. Sounds great! I can't do it because my 3 1/2 year old and 13 month old are just too active and would never sit still in a stroller! Wait, Olympia Gymnastics also has a mommy & me class too. Don't know the price, but I've heard of it. I sincerely hope that helps!
