Looking for a Magical Park for a Birthday Party

We're thinking of having a fairy party for my daughter's 5th birthday. Since our house is anything BUT magical, we're looking for a park that fills the bill. I can't afford to rent out Mayfield Park (which I would LOVE to do!) and was wondering if anybody knows any really magical parks in Austin. I'd prefer to stay more to the south or southwest part of Austin, but will consider other spots. Any help would be appreciated!

What can I do next?

Our neighborhood park is magical, but is supposed to be for residents in our neighborhood (but is not gated) Check out western oaks subdivision, there's picnic tables under a beautiful large oak tree, right next to our playground, location is near Wil Hampton Branch library which also has a lovely gazebo and a pond behind the library. Dick Nichols has a covered area and bathrooms. What a sweet idea!

It has been about 5 years since I used Mayfield park for a party, I did not rent the building, I just reserved the park portion. I think it was $100. We took in tables and chairs...

Will they just let you reserve the grounds?

I will try to think of some other parks and will send in suggestions.

Garrison Park is super shady and mostly deserted. There are several picnic table areas that could easily be decorated to look like a fairy forest. My kids and I eat lunch there regularly on weekdays and we are always the only ones. Its next to Crockett High. Good luck...
