I was also given Mrs. Greer's number and did talk to her. Her prices seemed pricey for a beginner who is not sure this is what he wants. We are still looking.

My daughter took from Clare Greer, who gives lessons from her home in Lake Highlands but I think may teach at some other locations around Mesquite (like maybe at some community colleges). Her number is ###-###-####. My friend found her by contacting Childbloom, which is a method of teaching guitar and you can contact them at ____@____.com for some more area teachers that teach the Childbloom method.

A.,

Kevin Curtis is a WONDERFUL guitar teacher. My son started taking lessons from him when he was about 8 years old, and has played at "The Door" in Deep Ellum 2 times (with pay), our city has paid to have him preform 2 times - and they keep asking him back, he has played several recitals and open mic nights.

If you want to see what Kevin Curtis has taught my son, you can check out my son's myspace: www.myspace.com/sologuitaristlee. Oh my... I just went to my son's blog to make sure I gave you the right address, and remembered what picture he had on there... sorry! :) And the song that plays when you first go there is one that he just wrote. You can hear some covers on there if you click around...

Kevin's blog is: www.troubadormusic.blogspot.com. He is working on a site that will be up in a few weeks.

There is a review done about Kevin Curtis and his business at: http://incognitocritic.blogspot.com/2008/04/troubador-mus....

I really can't say enough about him, his teaching style, and his business. He will teach your son whatever type of music he wants to learn.

My son was playing "Sweet Home Alabama" in 2 lessons...

Kevin Curtis: ###-###-####. Please tell him that E. and Lee referred you!
