Hi,
I just found out that my favorite (And my daughter's favorite) pediatrician at Huron Valley Pediatrics is leaving. Dr. Kernis is a WONDERFUL Dr. and we are REALLY sad about it. Dr. Bockneck is also great, but everyone knows it and it's hard to get an appointment with him. Does anyone else know of a GREAT dr. in this area.

Thanks!

Hi K.,
Before I decided not to drive so far when my girls started school I went to Dr. Brian S. Gendelman, MD, Pediatrics, located at 8896 Commerce Rd, Commerce Township, MI 48382. http://www.edgewoodpeds.com/ My girls also saw Dr. Baver and I believe Dr Kerin. We hated to leave there but it was just to far with me working and the girls in school. We live in Brighton. Good Luck T.

Dr. Amy C. Kowalski at Union Lake Pediatrics. She takes most insurances, including medicaid. Her office phone number is ###-###-####

When my oldest daughter (10) was a baby, I went through about 150 pediatricians in the metro-detroit area looking for the perfect doctor. I stopped when I found Dr.Kowalski. Three times she has saved the life of one of my babies. Two of them were premature and their care at the Huron Valley Birthing Center left MUCH to be done. My children were allergic to milk protein and had other major issues and Dr.K found the problems immediately. She works out of St. Joe;s in Pontiac, but she does have guest privelages at HVSH and works with patients who wish to use that hospital.

Hope that helps.

Edgewood Peds. It is on commerce road between near Union lake road. The practice has 8+ doctors so you can meet the different ones and go from there. They all have privalages at huron valley hospital. They are great - sat. and evening appointments also available.

I really like our ped, Dr. Rekha Kostecke. Not sure how you are about vax but she is okay with no, delayed or modified vax schedule.

We go to Dr Irani. He's awesome! Here is the address:
208 W. Highland Road #100
Highland, MI 48357
###-###-####

He is in a practice by himself, so my kids see the same doc every time - which I love. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answers all my questions. (I have had the opposite experience at other peds docs in the past). His staff is also wonderful....great with kids. And he has great hours for working parents - open until 7pm 2 nights a week. :-)
Hopefully this is helpful. Good luck!!!
L.

We recently had a horrible experience with Dr. Kernis on his last day before moving to NJ. We were so shocked that we decided to leave that practice and frankly, they don't seem to care. No one called to speak with us or anything. We switched to Edgewood Pediatrics. It's fabulous! You won't be disappointed. They have several doctors with hospital rights at Beaumont and Huron Valley and can research them on the webpage provided in another post. I'm so thankful for this practice and am only sad that I kept my son at Huron Valley Peds for so long.
