My daughters are both being seen by Woodcreek Pediatricians and have been since birth. I am tried of calling and not being able to get an appointment right away. It's a consisent issue anymore with Woodcreek (all three locations) not being able to get in to see anybody;without having to wait over a week. Woodcreek is too over ran with patients. Can anybody suggest a new doctor who is great and most of all can schedule your child to be seen in the same day?? Somewhere close to Bonney Lake would be great.

What can I do next?

I live in the Sumner/Bonney Lake area and I go to the Virginia Mason in Federal Way. The pediatricians are quite wonderful. We see Dr. Naylor, but he is on vacation for a bit. I don't know all the doctors there, but we just saw Dr. Gould and he was just as great. A friend who lives nearby also goes there to see a Dr. Fox (I think that's right) whom she thinks is terrific (Dr. Fox is a lady and she is very sweet - We saw her once many, many years ago).

Why do I love them so much? I have never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room before being called back, it's usually quite quick. Dr. Naylor really listens to any questions or concerns without rushing and he doesn't put on the "I'm the doctor, I know all" air. He very honest and I'm so happy we have him for a doctor.

On the waiting: When you have an appointment scheduled in advance (for like check-ups) it goes super quick in the waiting room. If you make a last minute appointment it can take up to 10 minutes in the waiting room.

Good Luck!

We love Evergreen Children's Clinic...practically next door to Woodcreek. I know it's not B'Lake, but they are so great there! My 21 yr.old was sad when they told her she couldn't go there anymore due to her age...

Also~ I agree with the gal who sees Dr. Naylor. If Federal Way isn't too far out of the way...my sister-in-law has always had Dr. Naylor for my niece and they love him. I've never heard stories of them having to wait to long for an appt. or wait too long in the waiting room

S., I have 5 kids, My oldest is 13 and we have been going to Puyallup Valley pediatrics since he was born. We really love it and can get it same day for sick kids and within 3 or 4 days for well baby check ups or physical. we have never waited in the waiting room more than 5 minutes too. they are located right next to Good Sam Hospital in puyallup. they are very good at accomedating me. My son had a physical less than a year ago but his school is requiring another more current one for sports and my insurance will not pay for more than one a year so my doctor's office said to just bring in the papers from the school and they would fill them out for us without my son having to have another physical. the recepionists and nurses are great and so are the two doctors. We have been very happy with them.

We go to Pediatrics Northwest in Tacoma. I know it is not that close to you but it's really not that far. The doctor we see is Dr. Oltman. I remember Woodcreek. If they could get me in earlier it was always a different doctor. Since I have been at Pediatrics Northwest, they have only seen Dr. Oltman. That includes when one of them is sick and needs to be seen that day. He also seems to take the time to listen to any concerns and to try and teach me something about the age group while I am there. So far a good experience. The only problem is that some time the wait is a little long in the patient room.

When I saw your subject line I was going to write and tell you not to go to Wood Creek. I had nothing but problems with them. One that resulted in a speach disorder. I switched my child to the doctor that my husband and I share. Even though he is not a peditrician he has taken excellent care of us. I like it because he knows our entire family and he is better able to meet our needs because of it. Wood Creek wouldn't treat my child--my doctor had him with a specialist with in a week of the first visit. Think about your doctor and if you are happy with them. If you are, chances are your kids will be too.

Bonus: If you both have the flu you can go together!
