Looking for a Great OBGYN- Question About Comtemporary Care for Women

I am unexpectedly and happily pregnant with my third child. My first two children I deliver at Banner Desert and my experience there was not so great. With my second child I was ready to get out after I had her. This time around I am looking to deliver at Banner Gateway since it closer to me and family members. Also, I heard great reviews on their maternity ward. My doctors were great but unfortunately they don't deliver at Banner Gateway.

I heard great things about Contemporary Care for Women but my questions are do they deliver at Banner Gateway and what was your experience with them?

Also if you have any other recommendations for great OBGYN that deliver at Banner Gateway.

Thanks for your help ladies!

I have been seeing Dr. Eric Hazelrigg at Comprehensive Women's Healthcare since 2002. I love him and all their staff. I saw almost all the drs & all the nurses while pregnant with my daughter and they were all wonderful. The only dr I hadn't seen was Dr. Falk, and wouldn't you know it, he ended up delivering my daughter and I really liked him too. It's also great because they have a Sonora Lab and ultrasound tech in the same office, I never had to go anywhere else! A new thing is they also have a certified aesthetician who offers a variety of services. When I had my daughter in 2006 they only delivered at Banner Desert, but now they also deliver at Banner Gateway.

Their office is on the SW corner of Gilbert & Guadalupe behind the Fresh & Easy. ###-###-####
Good luck with your search, it's tough!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I would highly recommend Dr. Brass at The Center for True Harmony in Mesa. She delivers at Banner Gateway. Check out their website www.trueharmonywellness.com. It's a great place. I am patient & I teach HypnoBirthing classes there. Love it!

No, they deliver at desert banner. But it's a great hospital. I see Dr. Alperin and have see Dr. Lepetich. They are both great. Dr. Lepetich is busy and very straight forward...usually on time and delivers for many of the nurses at the hospital. Dr. Alperin is much more kind and gives you a lot more attention, I love him!! But probably doesn't have as much experience, but I'd HIGHLY recommend him!

Try Dr. Huish or Dr. Beck- they both deliver at Gateway, if that's what you want. Or good advice i WAS GIVEN...call Gateway and ask what dr.'s they reccomend, that's how I found Dr. Lepetich!

Hi! I use Contemporary Care for Women, the Gilbert office. I am pregnant with my second child and love my Doctor. But, yes, they only deliver at Banner Desert. I live in Queen Creek so this is not that convenient, but it is worth it because I love Dr. Tamanaha. I'm not sure about their other offices though. Good luck!!

Hi A.,
I had a baby 3 weeks ago at Banner Gateway. I had a great experience there. The hospital is so nice, rooms are huge, there is a great little playground for when your older kids come to visit, the food was really good, the hospital staff was great, etc.
Unfortunately, though, I will soon be in the market for a new OBGYN as well. That was the only bad part about my recent experience. I don't want to publicly slander my doctor on here, but if you'd like to know who it is so you can avoid going to that particular doctor, please e-mail me privately, and I'd be glad to share the name with you.
Best of luck to you and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I also HIGHLY recommend Contemporary Care For Women. Dr. Alperin is my doctor and I can't say enough about how kind and caring he is (even recognizes my husband and I years after we had our babies when he sees us and says "hi"). The other docs and nurse practitioners there are great, too. When I had my babies (3 and 4 years ago), the doctors at the Guadalupe/McClintock office only delivered at Banner Desert (from what others have said, I'm assuming that's still the case). I'd say my first visit to Banner Desert went great (and I was there longer due to a longer labor), but my second visit was a little crazy, due to the time of year and them being super crowded. They did what they could, I think, but they were stretched pretty thin over there. I will say, though, that I wouldn't change my doctors for the world (I actually LIKE visiting them) and would go back to Banner Desert if I needed to for that reason. The doctors and care during pregnancy weighed more strongly for me, if that makes sense. Good luck and congratulations with your pregnancy. Surprises are sweet!

Dr. Eric Huish has delivered all three of my children at Banner Baywood and now delievers at Gateway. I love him, he walways makes time to see me, be there for the birth, and answers any and all questions I have. I think it is so important to find a doctor you like, good luck and I've heard any doctor in his practice is great

I deliverd my son via C-section at Banner Gateway in October and it was a fabulous experience! My doctor is Dr. Hazelrigg of Comprehensive Women's Health Care in Gilbert and he is amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about him and that hospital. It was really a great experience for us.
