So What Happened?

My girls are at Creme de la Creme and I absolutely love it there. The teachers have become a part of our family and my kids love going there! I can't imagine them being anywhere else.

Both my son and daughter attended Primary Prep Academy on Sandy Plains near Canton Rd. Check out their website. I really like the teachers and the cleanliness of the daycare. My son attends there now. They have web-cam viewing, which is great, an in-door playground, a water park, and for the older summer camp kids (age 5 and up) a pool. Check out their website. They are not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. But hurry, the waiting list for new babies can be long if you are not on it! It is run by twin sisters and their mother. Another sister works there as well. One of the twins use to be a teacher at a priate Christian school. Hope that helps!

My daughter just started at The Goddard School off of Trickum Road and Sandy Plains. I was referred to them by two friends. I really like the teachers and staff. You can visit at any time during the day. They do fill up fast. I paid for my daughter's spot 8 months prior to her starting which was 4 months before she was born.

Hi B.,
Wherever you decide to place your baby for care while you work, go armed with questions.

1. Does each child have their own crib?
2. does each child get held while being fed a bottle?
3. Do you clean the toys everyday? How many times? With what?
4. Do you provide the baby food when they begin to learn to eat?
5. Is the changing area and the "kitchen" area separate?
6. How many outfits/diapers do I need to bring? Can I use clothe diapers?
7. What is your child/care giver ratios?
8. How old does Baby need to be before moving up? Crawling? Walking?
9. Does your center have learning/story times even with babies?
10. Operating hours. What are they?
11. Can I come visit baby?
12. Can I call and talk directly to the teachers/caregivers?
13. How do you address injuries? What happens if my Baby gets hurt and needs a hospital?
14. Do you have restricted access to the center? (Parents/pick up person has the code)
15. Do you clean the changing area after each child is changed?
16. Does the bedding get changed daily?
17. Can I bring some personal things for my child to use?
18. Toys from home?
19. Daily reports? Does your center use them?
20. Do the daily reports get filled out as each event happens or does the cave giver wait until the end of the day to do the paperwork?

I hope this list of 20 questions will help you in locating the perfect place for you to place your baby during the day.

I hope you can take off from work for as long as you can. It really DOES help the mother/child bonding.

Take care and Happy Baby!
B.

I just started taking my 7 month-old son to East Piedmont KinderCare at 2566 E. Piedmont Rd. Marietta, GA 30062-
###-###-####.

They were everything I was looking for. Clean, safe, loving, etc... The price is good for me. I can take him one day a week, half days if needed, and drop-ins! I can not tell you how much better I feel leaving him there. Good luck to you. I know how stressful finding good child care can be!
