There are so many books on potty training so I was hoping to narrow the search down by getting recommendations from people who have tried one and it worked. Specifically for a boy.

What can I do next?

We have two that worked really well for us:
Once Upon a Potty for boys (especially helpful b/c the character has the same name as my son)

His actual favorite is The Potty Train. The story is cute, as are the graphics, and he loves trains so he wants to read it over and over. http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/esuite/control/product?P...

Good luck!!

Potty Train Your Child in Just One Day : Proven Secrets of the Potty Pro
Best book ever and it really does work. I had my son trained in 1 day. The doll method they use in the book works. I provided you the link to the book at barns and noble. Good luck.

I second "Once Upon A Potty" (boy version). Something "clicked" with my son when we got this book!

This is random, but as far as DVD's on potty-training, we really liked "It's Potty Time" with the bear on the front. Great songs and subtle potty references with research to back it up.

Once upon a potty - AGAIN! There is also a video which I find a little odd because it is different from the book and it shows a lot of babies playing with potties. However, my son loves it as well.

Hi Mamal honestly you don't need books, potty trainning is not as difficult as some will tell you. I potty trained my boys by 19 months and 21 months, no books, but with the boys my husband was very involved and that does makes a different. I think books are ok. but natural maternal instict is the best. J.
