Looking for a Good Church in the Glendale Area

Hope your doing well. I asked a similar question not long ago and got some of the same answers.. there are lots of choices. We have attended a few different churches in the area and have chosen Community Church of Joy, on 75th avenue north of the 101. There are quite a few choices for service times even one on Saturday. My 8 year old daughter loves the Sunday School class and is excited about what she is learning. They also have a Christian School. One other suggestion is to visit the websites and look to see what beliefs match yours.

I go to St Helen's Catholic Church on about 55th Avenue and Cholla. The 5:30 pm mass on Sundays is wonderful. It is considered a teen mass. However, this doesn't mean it's all about teens. The teen choir and band sings. The band is great - they keep the music very upbeat. Father Bob is great. He is very interesting and funny. He does great at leading the congregation. A little hint, arrive a little bit early as the church really fills up. It it such a nice feeling to worhsip with so many people in one place. I hope you give it a try.

I attend Covenant international Church on 62nd and olive. It is non denominational, it has childrens church for all ages. Services on Sunday are 9:30 AM and 11:00AM. Check it out. I hope you enjoy it. I surely do.

My family attends this church. The pastor is extremely knowledgeable and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting...You can view their mission statement online.

Hi H. I know ir has been awhilr since you posted this not sure if you found a church. A great one is called Pure Heart. They are awesome there!! It is off of 43rd ave and thunderbird..

May I offer Community Church of Joy on 75th ave and the 101. The church is Christian/Luthren based and very much focuses on family and children. They are a rather large church with a small town feel. I have been a member since 97 and recently had my son baptized there. Hope that helps.

We go to CCV at 67th ave and Happy Valley and we really love it. It has changed our lives for the better!!!

We go to church at First Southern Baptist Church at Sahuaro Ranch located near 59th ave & Peoria. The pastor is very good and they have wonderful childrens programs plus a lot of different programs for adults. Please come visit on Sunday morning. The service starts at 10:30 am.

Hi. We go to Calvary community, which is on I-17 and around Cactus. It is wonderful and they have really good classes for the kids. Their website is www.calvaryphx.com/ if you want to check it out.

I second the opinion on Community Church of Joy. They really have good programs for kids and family oriented they are. They help my family with many things and issues. They help My Husband and I get back on track to a loving, more gentler us too! Just by attending their services. No special treatment just attending services. Check them out at www.joyonline.org

Hi H.. I am kind of new to the area so not really sure where you are located. I just thought I'd respond to your e-mail.. our family goes to Calvary Community Church. It's the big church on the 101 / close to 35th Avenue. It's large but has great leadership/pastors are wonderful and has a family feel. How far NW Glendale? I am 67th ave and Happy Valley and I attend North Valley Assembly of God. Located off the I-17, north of happy valley rd on the west access rd.

I go to a wonderful chuch called Vineyard Church of North Phoenix on 63 ave and Peoria. Great community of people.
