Looking for a Good Childrens Consignment Shop to Resell Kids Clothing

I'm new to consigning and I'm trying to find a good place to take my 2 year old girls and infant boy's clothing. I'd like to get some decent money for it (I know it won't be huge...but want a fair price at least) because it is nice clothing...mostly gymboree, etc and is in great condition! What are some good consignment shops that you've found to offer the best resale prices?

What can I do next?

Hello N.,

Instead of listing all the resale shops I know about I have most of them on my website. If you go to www.GetOrganized.ws and then click at the top on "Organizing Services" then scroll down and click on "Resources" you will see a selection for Consignment and Resale Shops.

Enjoy!

I love Cutie Patootie at the corner of Main and Teel in Frisco. I've done really well with them both for consigning & especially buying. You drop off the clean clothes in a plastic bin and then go through and then offer you cash or a store credit worth 15% more. So easy. They also do Furniture, supplies & maternity clothes.
Its not a chain and they are really awesome to work with.
Good luck and congrats on the new baby!

I take my clothes to Once Upon A Child. They have several locations. You can look it up on the internet. You dont have to have an appointment. YOu just drop the clothes off they go through them and then call you when they are done.

They are however very picky. The clothes have to look like new. They dont really take a lot of play clothes. Jean Shorts, etc.

Have you heard about "just Between Friends"? It's a huge consignment event where you get to set the price. It takes a little effort on your part, but it is far better than the pennies you will get from Kid to Kid or Once Upon a Child, and you can purchase the same quality clothing for your child at a fraction of the retail costs as well. Just go to jbfsale.com/dallas and check it out. Let them know you were referred by B Cashion or consignor #1507.

Hi N.
I had the problem for a while, I have a daughter that grows so fast as soon as she wears her shoes or clothes they no longer fit....and the still looked new
When I discussed it with my friends they had they same problem, many had it worse because they have 2 or 3 kids. That's when, with the help of my husband I created this special site for parents to solve this problem and get extra income in these tough economic times www.Kidzdorm.com

divineconsign.net is by far the best thing to do if you have nice clothes. I have been doing it for years. They do it once in the fall and once in the spring. You can sell maternity, anything baby/kid related, dvd's, books, ride-ons, etc. Check out the website. You price and tag your items and you get 70% (or more if you volunteer to help with the sale) and there is a $10 consignor fee. I have had great results each time and highly recommend it to anyone who is getting out of the baby business and wants to make some money.

Cutie Patootie in Frisco on Main and Teel is a place I have used. There is also Kid to Kid. There is one in McKinney but not sure about Frisco. Good luck.

If they are all nice clothes (such as gymboree) you will probably make more money by listing them on Ebay. Consignment stores want to make the most profit they can and they will not give you near what you could get by selling to an individual.
