Hey Mamas!
I am going away in May for the first vacation with my lil'man who by then will be 5 1/2 months- can you guys suggest any baby floats that you feel are safe. We are going to Florida and I want to play with him in the pool and there are so many products out there, any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi D.,

I had this dilemma myself last summer. I looked online for reviews at Amazon/Babies R Us and settled on the Swim School: Baby and Me Float. We used it a couple times last year and I plan on using it again this year(my son is a little on the small side). It helps if your son has a bit of meat on him, so he can't fall through the leg holes, but this one is so nice because he sits in it and it wraps around you! It has a couple of toys that he may or may not like. I really think you should look into this one. I advise that you try blowing it up BEFORE you go away, though, as I had a bit of a problem and I wouldn't want you to not be able to use it.

We got this thing at target. I can't remember the name, but it looks like a lily pad. It springs open and you blow up a ring around the outside of it and the baby goes in the middle through a little sack with leg holes. I don't know if you have any idea what I'm talking about, but it was great.
Good Luck

Hi D.,

Check out One Step Ahead www.onestepahead.com. They have fantastic stuff for little little ones - I bought all my daughter's summer swim stuff there last year and she was about the same age as your guy.

Have fun!

Hi we havea pool and I bought my daughter one of those bathing suits with the floats built into it's body. I am not sure if they make them for boys.
