I just spotted your request. You don't say where you live, but our AG church has the things you mention - small groups, upbeat music, lots for the kids etc. I run a moms' group there and the kids come along. It's not mops cause we do our own thing but I think you'd like it. It's in St.Clair Shores near the 10 Mile exit on I-94, which is the first exit below I-696. I've been there 30 years and they're my "other" family. Our motto is "a place you call home with people you call family". The website is www.theshoreschurch.org. Hope to see you there if you live in the area.

I know you're looking for non-denom, but if you're open, consider Immanuel Lutheran in Macomb Twp. They have all the things you're looking for, including large and small group Bible studies, Sunday classes for kids of ALL ages, and coffee house style, interactive worship service with great music. There are a LOT of Bible study opportunities including men, women, small groups in homes, etc. It's a large congregation with a lot going on, but not overwhelming. God Bless your search!

Kensington Community Church has all three of the things you said you are looking for. MOPs meets on Wednesday mornings and has day care. We have Small Groups for men, women, and couples. The childrens programs are wonderful. They start with infant care and they have programs for your kids all the way through their 20's.

There are three campuses and they are working on a fourth soon. The music is awesome and the people are wonderful.

I'd check out Rockpointe.. it's Assembly of God roots I believe. it's in Sterling Heights a little bit of a drive for you.

We really like our church EPIC church in Rochester. It's got Lutheran roots, but it's more of a non-denonimational feel... we have some issues with Lutheranism and we're good with it... it's on the smaller side

I attend Kensington Community Church. It is rather large, so I recommend joining a small group. They have several smaller churches (Birmingham,East Side, Rochester)that give you the small church feel.

I love it. I volunteer in the nursery; the children's program is outstanding.

My husband and I attended the main campus in Troy for several years and just decided to go to Birmingham for the small church feel.

The music is great and I have learned more about the bible in the 4+ years I have gone there than growing up in an Episcopalian church.

Good Luck!
