My husband and I have been trying to adopt for awhile now. We had a failed adoption back in July and were devastated. It is our dream to adopt. If anyone can help realize our dream please let us know.
We would appreciate any information.
Thank you
B.

A little about me:

My husband and I have been married for over eleven years. We have tried to whole fertility route with no luck. We have all the love to give to a child. We come from a big extended family with lots of siblings who all have children.

If you don't have preferences about color, gender or open vs closed adoption, your opportunities will be much improved. We are just about to celebrate our son's 1st birthday and he came to us through adoption at 5 days old. We used an agency in Philadelphia called Adoption ARC. We can't ever complain about them because our son is the best thing that ever happened to us but we did have issues with their disorganization and high cost. But the time from starting the application to bringing our son home was about 9 months. There is another agency in the Philly area that we will investigate for our next adoption and it's called Open Arms adoption and we've heard great things about them. We are white, our son is African-American and that doesn't matter to us. We have biracial nephews and a sister is adopting a baby from Ethiopia soon so we have diversity in our extended families.
As I said, the fewer stipulations you put on your baby "wants", the quicker the placement.
Our son will always be our Christmas angel and we are the luckiest parents on the planet.
Good luck.

Dear B.,
I know from experience that I did not get pregnant until I broke my foot and was required to "take it easy". I had to sit around. I was always a very busy person, I made sure I had plenty of protein and nutrients and then, wham, I was pregnant when I relaxed. There is no time like this time of the year to just relax and make sure you are getting enough nutrients for a healthy body. I also used a basal thermometer, which is helpful, so that I could tell when it was the best time. Natural Family Planning groups may be more helpful as they are non-evasive.
God bless you, both and have a wonderful, relaxing holiday season.

We are approved for domestic adoption and would love to share the info of our agency and homestudy agency. The adoption agency is in CA, but has helped so many families in western PA, that they have an annual reunion and are setting up a location here! You can send me a private message and I'll get you the contact info.

We know several families who've adopted (including my parents who adopted my younger sister, along with a neice who placed a son for adoption) - I am very sorry for the failed adoption (!!!!!) and so glad you're not giving up :) Your baby(ies) is out there!

Good luck!

If you are willing to consider a child with a disability, you may have some more options. There is a website reecesrainbow.com which helps with international adoptions for kids with down syndrome and a local organization (or maybe has a local office) called Bethany Christian. You can reach them through emailing Maureen Ticich at ____@____.com or calling ###-###-####.
This obviously comes with challenges but my son has down syndrome and he is the light of my life.
