Can anybody tell me where would be a nice place to have a baby shower? I am supposed to have mine the 27th of this month and the place where we planned it to be is now not going to happen. I have a guest list of about 15-20 people, and no where for them to celebrate. I am just moving up there this weekend and not familiar with the town.

Would it be inappropriate to have it at the hospital (Pres) when the baby is born? I am going to have her in just a few weeks.

What can I do next?

As a matter of fact... I work at Presbyterian. It's really, believe it or not, not that uncommon for showers to be held at the hospital. There are meeting rooms downstairs near the cafeteria that you can use to have the shower. Some people wait until the baby is born to have the shower, and then just have it at the hospital. The problem is, there are only 4 people allowed in your hospital room, and while there can be as many people as you want in the meeting room, you cannot take the baby off the birthing floor, or the recovery floor if it's later. Please let me know if you have any questions... I'd be happy to help you in any way I can. =0)

Try Calvary Chapel

I believe if it is not occupied you can book the building next to the skatepark for a small fee.

I ended up having my 3rd baby the day of her baby shower. (She came 3 weeks early.) Because I couldn't make it to the actual shower, they all went to see us at the hospital. The staff only let 2 people in the room at a time. There were gifts, papers, and stuff all over the place. Fortunately, I wasn't sharing the room with anyone. I would definitely try to have the shower before or after the baby is born. I've attended a couple of showers at a church. Do you have a church affiliation you could look into? Do you have a friend or family member that wouldn't mind opening up their home? I attended a baby shower last Sunday that was held at a coffee shop. The people that own it hosted the shower. I can ask them if they'd mind. The coffee shop is off of Tramway and Indian School.

Hi S.,

I'm not sure if you like the idea of having it at a restaurant, but Gardunos on Montgomery has a huge back room for showers and parties. They have really good Mexican food also!!
